AlfaClock Free 1.99
AlfaClock is a handy taskbar clock with powerful capabilities and stylish design more>>
As time changes, so do the time-keeping devices. Now, in the beginning of the third millennium, the most precise time can be displayed only by the atomic clock. And thanks to the Internet and AlfaClock from www.alfaclock.com, you can have the atomic clock right on your desktop.
At first glance, AlfaClock is a regular taskbar clock (sometimes called "tray clock"). But that is just your first impression. This tray clock combines multitude of cool features with stylish design.
First, you can set AlfaClock to display time, date and day of the week simultaneously. Second, you can customize AlfaClock to announce this information periodically. And you can set an alarm - a very handy feature, if you frequently keep losing track of time, while using your computer.
Atomic Clock Synchronization feature allows you to periodically connect to atomic clock time servers to make sure that your computer displays correct time and adjust it automatically, if necessary. Correct time may be critical to some computer users - for example, to professional eBay bidders, who make their final bids thirty seconds before the auction closes.
AlfaClock has quite a few of extra features that other taskbar clocks dont have. Like copy time/date to clipborad feature. Or a fully customizable pop-up calendar.
Created to ISO8601 specifications, it will allow you to highlight weekends and holidays, change the first day of the week.
Main features:
- Enhancement for the Windows 9x/ME/NT/2000/XP taskbar clock (tray clock), that displays the time, date and other information in any format (without using lots of little icons).
- Atomic time synchronization. Synchronize clock with Internet Atomic Time Servers.
- Announce the date, time, or both, at specified intervals.
- Powerful alarms, each of which can display a message, play a sound, or run a program.
- Powerful Calendar feature. The calendar shows a month at a time, and has options to include week numbers (determined according to ISO8601), highlight weekends, and change the first day of the week. You can now also choose a font and a color for the calendar.
- Date/time copy to clipboard. Copy date, time, and other info to the clipboard using any format you wish.

AlfaClock Free Edition 1.99 build March 31, 2009 is the choice for those who want to have it all. Ancient Egyptians used the shadow clock (gnomon) to determine correct time. The Greeks used the water clock, or clepsydra. The first mechanical clock appeared in the fourteenth century. Then, in 1929 first electronic timepieces appeared. As time changes, so do the time-keeping devices. Now, in the beginning of the third millennium, the most precise time can be displayed only by the atomic clock.

Enhancements:
AlfaClock Free Edition is a fully redeveloped version of AlfaClock. To fix the stored up bugs and to avoid new ones we had to write AlfaClock from scratch. As a result AlfaClock Classic is of less space but works faster and is more stable. All problems with Microsoft Windows XP SP2 are left behind as well as the conflicts with such products as StyleXP, Windows Blinds, TraySaver, etc
- The program as a whole:
- Now AlfaClock are stored separately for each user. Every user can configure AlfaClock to his/her liking.
- The Multilingual User Interface support has been added. Now you can "communicate" with AlfaClock in your mother tongue. If your native language isn't available in the list - no problem - you can translate the program interface into your native language yourself.
- Additional program settings including system-wide hotkeys, web-updates have been processed and improved.
- Taskbar Clock:
- Unique feature: 100% full support of Windows XP Visual Styles (Themes). AlfaClock accurately determines all taskbar clock settings with enabled Visual Styles (Themes). We have no information on any other software product with the similar feature.
- Tooltip contains more features: the multi-line mode is supported, the graphic bugs in Windows XP were fixed.
- Taskbar Clock became faster and more stable on the whole, all known problem situations being processed.
- Atomic Clock:
- A new faster and more stable "engine" is used to work with precise time.
- Server lists for different protocols - SNTP and Time are stored separately. The destination is specified for the servers. The servers in the list can be temporary disabled but not deleted.
- The log (the events.log file) with all Atomic Clock events is kept.
- Calendar:
- The "Stay on top" option was added.
