RSS Proxy is a useful, free and small application which I made because RSS feeds sometimes have this ?problem?, everyone who ever used RSS feeds knows what I am taling about. Those RSS feeds who only publish the first couple of rows of an article, to lure you to their site. Well I hate that and for me it completly beates the purpose of RSS feeds.
So, what does RSS Proxy do? Well it can do a couple of things :
* It can copy a RSS feed from anywhere on the web. This way you can keep as many items in the feed as you want.
* It can ?extend? a RSS feed. This is the best feature, because it can visit the url specified in the RSS feed and ?scrape? some text of that page. This way it can replace the (normally shortened) text in a feed with the full version only available on the site itself.
* It can generate a so-called OPML file, so you can easily import your added feeds to your RSS reader.
RSS Proxy functions as a webserver hosting the generated/customized feeds, this way you can still use your favorite RSS reader. Also, the option to completly create a custom RSS feed will be added in the near feature. This way you can create RSS feeds of sites which don?t even have RSS feeds available.

pkColorPicker is a powerful and easy to use color selection utility for web designers, graphic producers and developers.
pkColorPicker offers many ways to mix and to adjust colors. It is also possible to select colors from any position of the screen supported by a magnifying tool.
pkColorPicker allows the user to create custom palette and save it as bitmap or load it from an image file. If desired, the color value can be automatically copied to the clipboard for use in other applications.

The new version include a boat load of features from a supercharged MP3 Renamer/Tag Editor, enhanced system information like exact IE version, Hard disk info, save or print screenshot, change wallpaper, minimize all and more. Several options are available via right-click menu in your systray.
MP3 Renamer: which takes care of mp3 filename pet peeves & sets a standard for naming them, feature includes full Artist & Song parsing, full mp3 file detailed information & ability to update the ID3 tag.
System Information: If you load the app and click the systray icon, youll see a good snapshot of your system.
Right & Left Click Options: the systray app gives you some shortcuts by right-clicking the systray icon and a ton of options if you left click on the icon. New in 2.1 Beside shutting down, restarting and logging off this new version now lets you Lock Your Workstation, go on Standby or Hibernate!!!
Tweaks/Hacks: There are also several "MR Tech Approved" tweaks/hacks that will have your computer humming like: Enable RegEdit Access, Disable Login Messages, Display Login Name, Increase Icon Resolution and a lot more. This feature isnt meant to replace the hundred other tweak utilities out there, its just meant to reestablish the most annoying ones everytime you long in, like Clearing Login, Login Messages, etc.
Command Line Options:
- temp : clears windows temp directory
- sys : clears tmp files from windows system directories
- iecache : clears ie cache
- nscache : clears netscape cache
- restart : restarts windows (be careful with this one)
- shutdown : shuts down windows (be careful with this one)
- lock : lock workstation
- hibernate : activates hibernation
- exit (closes app after running other command line parameters)
- Microsoft IE Multi-Threaded Tweak: by default the standard # of multiple downloads or threads that the browser will make to the server is 4 non proxy and 2 via proxy.
If you have the bandwidth and memory, kicking this up will force more threads to be able to download more at the same time. Even though threads are reused and not reestablished, having more of them does speed things up if you have the bandwidth.
On a system with 128megs of memory Ive yet to experience any problems with having this at 32 threads. This will only get used if you are download several pages at the same time or if a page has A LOT of graphics, etc.
Manual & Scheduled Cleanups: The old cleanup features are being enhanced and super charged to allow you to clear your Netscape Navigator and/or MS Internet Explorer caches and the Windows temp folder -- plus delete lost fragments, cookies, and history files. Ive just recently added cleanup scheduling, check it out!
You must disable the prompts in order to remove the messages that popup, you can do this by, unchecking the "Always Show Delete Prompts" from the tweaks menu.
MR Tech Log: I was having problems with my power supply so I added this so that the log would tell me how many times the computer was restarted. By reading the file you can see whether the computer was proper shutdown or not. Ive also added the user logged in and how much space was recovered with deleting the Temp & System Directory temp files.
File Lister: I wanted a quick way of listing files into a text files so I added this little ditty.
Sort List: I was just getting tired of loading Excel to sort a small list of lines so I added this.

Save Snapshot: Lets you save your current system settings to a file.
Super Optimized: Applied several optimization techniques and changed compile method to reduce program size by 37%, added a Memory Optimization technique that I had been contemplating and the program now uses up to 90+% less active memory under Windows NT/2000. That and Ive removed any old unused variables, functions and subroutines.
