Tiff Paging allows you to split a multipage TIFF regardless of page count (i.e. splitting a 40 page TIFF into two files after page 5 is available). Tiff Paging can be run from within other programs by command line. On top of that Tiff Paging can merge several splitted files into one. At the same time you can resize and rotate the pages.

You all must have seen and done stuff with the RecordSet object, infact everything is done with the RecordSet object. Now, this acticle explains how to use GetRows to page through the records that you recieve from the SELECT. Its much faster than MoveNext, because it closes the database connection immediately whereas MoveNext loops through the records with the overhead of the database connection. Plus GetRows lets you count the records correctly!

ModVB is a Apache module which aims to provide an JScript/VBScript/ASP compatibility layer for your web-pages. In other words it allows you to run with none or little modifications your ASP pages on your Linux server running Apache.

A bit of perspective

ModVB is based on the work done by Marco Ridoni (mod_gb) and Michael Meeks, Ravi Pratap and other people on Gnome Basic which was meant to be a VB work-alike for Linux. After the successful launch of Mono, Gnome Basic was officially declared "dead".

A few months later Marco Ridoni decided to start mod_gb, dropping (even if not completely) the support for GUI elements (Forms, Buttons, etc.) and adding external "class libraries" which could be used to expand the language in real ASP-fashion.

The ModVB project was started to improve upon Marco Ridonis work and create a full featured IIS clone with possible JScript support as well as more objects than supported by standard IIS/ASP

Current state

ModVB is currently alpha-quality software, maybe even a step behind that. Its nowhere near ready to be installed and run by the faint-hearted, let alone on a production server. If you decide to download, compile and install it, just dont say we never warned you.

Whats New in This Release:

· This initial alpha release retrieves data from disks that previously composed a clean RAID 5 in a Coraid SR.
· The retrieval takes place on a POSIX platform, independently of the SR unit.

PilotGPS is a new program that woks with any standard NMEA-0813 compatible GPS reciever and a USR Pilot. It was developed and tested with with a Delorme Tripmate. Users have had success using it with Garmin GPS 45 and the Trimble ScoutMaster (with these settings), as well.
Features
-The current version of PilotGPS (Alpha 2) has the following major features (click the link to see a screen shot of that mode):
-Monitor mode Shows most of the information the GPS is transmitting, including current time, date, number of satellites in view, warning status, latitude and longitude, altitude, speed (in MPH), and course.
-Mapping mode Draws a map of where you have been on a selectable scale map. You can display the latitude and longitude of any point on the map using the stylus.
-Compass mode Shows your current heading on a cool-looking compass as well as your current position and speed.
-Cruise control mode Shows your current speed on a graph. You may set a range of speed between which you wish to travel, and the Pilot will beep when you exceed the maximum or go below the minimum. Very handy if your car doesnt have cruise control! It also keeps track of average speed and top speed.
