Alpha is a complete text-editing tool for programmers and Web designers.

Alpha isPowerPC native (although it will run on68K-based Macs) and contains powerful programming tools, including a flexible search function that lets you locate specific areas in large files with ease.

Alpha also requires less memory than many common text editors, and can open any file of any size within the limits of system resources.

srcat project can retrieve data from disks once used in a Coraid SR (SATA+RAID) appliance.

Whats New in This Release:

· This initial alpha release retrieves data from disks that previously composed a clean RAID 5 in a Coraid SR.
· The retrieval takes place on a POSIX platform, independently of the SR unit.
· Support for RAID arrays missing disks and for levels besides RAID 5 has yet to be added.

ModVB is a Apache module which aims to provide an JScript/VBScript/ASP compatibility layer for your web-pages. In other words it allows you to run with none or little modifications your ASP pages on your Linux server running Apache.

A bit of perspective

ModVB is based on the work done by Marco Ridoni (mod_gb) and Michael Meeks, Ravi Pratap and other people on Gnome Basic which was meant to be a VB work-alike for Linux. After the successful launch of Mono, Gnome Basic was officially declared "dead".

A few months later Marco Ridoni decided to start mod_gb, dropping (even if not completely) the support for GUI elements (Forms, Buttons, etc.) and adding external "class libraries" which could be used to expand the language in real ASP-fashion.

The ModVB project was started to improve upon Marco Ridonis work and create a full featured IIS clone with possible JScript support as well as more objects than supported by standard IIS/ASP

Current state

ModVB is currently alpha-quality software, maybe even a step behind that. Its nowhere near ready to be installed and run by the faint-hearted, let alone on a production server. If you decide to download, compile and install it, just dont say we never warned you.

Whats New in This Release:

KRDesktop is a GPL-ed KDE (QT3) front-end for QEMU. KQEmu project provides a GUI interface for running PC emulation (similiar in intent to Virtual PC/VMWare).

Written in Kommander, this also serves as a good example of RAD development under linux.

Here are some key features of "KQEmu":

· Creates script "Droplets" to automate later re-running with same settings.
· Supports all non "debug" features of QEmu.

Installation

Make sure you have QEmu and Kommander installed. Any version of QEmu should work, but KQEmu was only tested with the newest Alpha of Kommander (At this time Alpha 3).
Simply download and extract to a place of your choosing.
To run: kmdr-executor KQEmu-versionNumber.kmdr (ie: KQEmu-0.1.kmdr)

Calrendar is an open source freeware program for rendering print quality calendars.

Calrendar is currently in alpha stage, which means that it is sensitive and will most likely break at one point or another if you do not treat it exactly like it was supposed to.

The output from the program is XSL-FO which can be rendered to PDF using an XSL-FO engine. If XEP from RenderX is used PDF can be generated from the program directly.

CDPlayer Alpha is a not as big as iTunes CD Player.

In some way I dont want to use iTunes, SoundjamMP or any other all-in-one player. So I made this one.

It needs a lot of work though.
And you can help me thinking.

kNeu is a brand new Icon Theme based entirely on Sivestre Herreras DLG Neu Icon Set.

kNeu intends to be some cartoonish, but not stupid. Quiet, but not silent. Shiny, but not scandalous.

When you look at your screen, this icon set intends to say: "hey. they look really nice in my KDE!"

Right now this icon set is in alpha state, wich means that it can have some errors, and, of course, therere a lot of icons missing, and im working to complete this set.

Alpha 0.2 is available, i created a lot of new icons from the original gnome release... hope you like it..

Whats New in This Release:

Bon Echo Alpha 3 is a developer preview release of our next generation Firefox browser and it is being made available for testing purposes only. Bon Echo Alpha 3 is a free and useful internet browser which is intended for web application developers and our testing community. Current users of Mozilla Firefox 1.x should not use Bon Echo Alpha 3.

Alpha Crucis is a live Linux CD based on CRUX the Linux Live Scripts.

Why yet another Linux live cd, arent there enough?

But there is always room for one more, if it has some uniqueness. I do not see many live distros based on my favorite, CRUX. What I want is an i686 optimized live cd based on CRUX Linux, so I can use CRUX on any box wherever I go. No longer having to wait to get home to try out ports and such. This live cd is made with the Linux Live scripts and CRUX Linux.

Features include XFCE 4.4.1, Thunar with autodetecting and mounting of media; window managers JWM, Fluxbox, and Icewm for lighter machines; Rox-Filer, Leafpad editor, Stella and Snex9x emulators, NTFS-3g, the Gimp, Gftp, Gpview, Xine with codecs, XMMS, 2.6.21.2 i686 optimized Linux kernel with full driver support, Dillo, Xchat, Eterm, and more.

The main focus of CRUX is simplicity, and I tried not to stray too far in that area. But unlike a CRUX install, most configuration is taken care of for you with this cd. Running Alpha Crucis is not much different that running Xubuntu Live. This cd is made in hopes that it will be fun to use, but it is of course not related to, condoned, nor authorized by the CRUX project. CRUX is simply a fine Linux distro I use and recommend.

Why the strange name?

Most Linux distros have strange names. Alpha Crucis is also known as "Acrux", and means "at the foot of the cross". It is the brightest star in the Crux constellation. I did not want to name my project Jasonix, nor any version of the word CRUX. I like the name Acrux, but I will not use it out of respect of the CRUX project.

ALPHA BRAVO is a font that was developed after the "phonetic alphabet" used on radio for clearly indicating letters.

Chatbot::Alpha::Syntax is a Perl module for syntax checking of Chatbot::Alpha replies.

Chatbot::Alpha::Syntax provides syntax checking for Alpha documents. All syntax errors result in a die so dont expect to run your syntax checking halfway through a large applications process. Doing it in initialization is always fine though.

This plugin support all feature from original iRate client program. Several features where added.
