Most uni's ask for you to apply though UCAS an online website (http://www.ucas.ac.uk) that contacts the uni for you. Ucas offers a database search on all the courses that the british uni's have to offer. so its a good idea to have a look though them before making your mind up. Ucas do charge a one off fee to use this service.
When you have decided that you want to go to uni, you have to choose your choices. 3 - 4 uni's that you like and select a firm and conditional offer after you have received your grades.
But first you have to create a 'personal statement' this is a statement about you and why you want to join that course, listing skills and quality. this will then be submitted to all the uni's that you apply for and they will reply with there offers. offers are what grades you must get to get into the uni. you should receive letters from your firm choice uni if you received the grades you needed also the uni can change there offer at any time.
