Generates sine wave test signals of the highest possible accuracy. When I was developing the ASIO Test Signal Generator, since it was such a simple program, I became obsessed with the desire to make it the most accurate tone generator ever created in software to make up for its complete lack of features.
Each tone produced is a perfect sine wave calculated to 80 bits of floating point accuracy. Each signal generated begins and end at a zero point ? that is to say, consists of a number of whole, complete sine waves. Furthermore, these signals begin and end with a linear taper equal in duration to some multiple of the period of the signal. The signals are produced with no DC component.
You must have a sound card with an ASIO driver to run this software. Most professional sound cards such as M-Audios Delta have such a driver. Even the Sound Blaster Audigy comes with an ASIO driver, however, though supported by my software, the Audigy runs at 48 KHz and only has a 16 bit buffer, so you wont get all the precision there is to be had. (The Audigy also has a 24 bit, 96 Khz mode, but my software doesnt support 24 bits as yet.)
You can actually play these tunes on consumer grade sound cards if you download and install the ASIO4All emulator. Set it for a buffer size of 1024 or 2048 samples if a setting of 512 samples sounds crackly.
Try music on your 32 bit sound card at a sampling rate of 96 KHz for the best possible sound. Even the notes of the scales are calculated with 12 decimal places of precision, so you can use the music as a frequency standard. You can test your speakers with it. If you have very accurate speakers, the music may sound flat and boring. However, if your speakers have character like mine, the music may sound quite pretty.

ASIO (Audio Streaming Input Output) was introduced by Steinberg to remedy the situation, that Windows had no means to stream audio-data from/to soundcards with the small amount of latency necessary for professional recording solutions.
Since then many professional applications have been built around this interface and are used to record or playback music, or render "virtual" instruments like soft-synths or samplers in realtime on PCs.
Although many hobbyists are starting to use this technology to produce music at home, soundcards which implement the ASIO-interface come with a hefty price-tag. ASIO2KS solves this by allowing low-budget soundcards (on-board, pci or usb) to be used in this environment.
Installation of ASIO2KS is done in a breeze. The driver is actually just one file: ASIO2KS.CPL which has to be put in the System32 directory of your PC. Afterwards you can open your system control panel. A new icon will be placed there. Click that icon and configure ASIO2KS.

General things to note before installing/running:
Remember that this is just a preview release--many things may be broken, and it may not work completely as you expect.
Be sure to turn your speakers down! If you run Jesusonic and it is sampling the input and outputting the output, you could get some nasty feedback if not prepared.
On Windows, set up your mixer settings accordingly. Once you run Jesusonic, it will let you choose the input/output method. For low latency, ASIO or Kernel Streaming is really a must. Kernel Streaming should work most of the time, though currently it just uses the default sound devices, so you may have to change this in the Windows control panel. If you have an ASIO driver for your soundcard, this is the vastly preferred way to go. A good ASIO driver for USB sound devices is available (though not free) from usb-audio.com. A good ASIO driver for all soundcards (it just wraps the WDM driver) is available at asio4all.com (and is free).<<less

Wavosaur provides a virtual rack for VST plugins effects, you can set up a chain of VST effects, tweak and listen to your processed audio in real time.Wavosaur provides also a batch processor. It can also be controlled by a MIDI control surface. The development is active and many features will be added in the next releases.
