Ok, I admit it, Im a fan of arpeggiators. They give you a quick and easy way to do some rhythmic effects that otherwise would just be too tedious to do otherwise. Unfortunately, keyboard manufacturers stopped putting them into their keyboards around the mid-80s, and are only now re-discovering the joy and wonder that is arpeggiation... But whats this got to do with DirectX? I mean, you cant really use one of those arpeggiators with DirectX audio data, can you? Well no, you couldnt... Until now!
AnalogX Audio Arpeg is very similar to its MIDI counterpart - you control whether or not a sound is being played, and create a rhythmic pattern with the mutes/unmutes. Unlike your normal MIDI arpeggiator, Audio Arpeg also lets you to control the volume level of each of the mute/unmute stages, which allows you to make much more subtle, and interesting patterns. Each channel can be delayed by up to 1 second and can have its tempo set independently; this opens up a whole new world in VERY cool stereo arpeggiation!
And not only that, but Audio Arpeg is super-fast so it doesnt suck up those valuable CPU cycles! Of course, Audio Arpeg requires an application that supports DirectX Audio plugins (like the Paris or WaveLab), and works with either the realtime or non-realtime applications as well. Audio Arpeg supports mono or stereo sound streams, as well as 16bit and 32bit data types.

When you stop your sequencer, the plugin disables itself so that you can edit the gated track without having to switch it off. Advanced midi gate can be used to easily mute an audio/vsti track via midi. For example, it can be used to create the stuttering effects commonly found in trance and psy-trance.
Advanced Midi Gate is an insert effect. Put it on a audio channel or a vsti channel with a suitable part (ie a sustained sound).
Then create a midi track and assign the midi output to Advanced Midi Gate. Next, you should program it in the rhythm that you want to hear.
