AVI Fixed is a lightweight and extremely easy to use piece of software that allows you to view partially downloaded AVI video files by rebuilding the index.

AVI movie files are both popular and potentially excellent quality for their size.
With the introduction of home DVD players that play DivX AVIs, their creation and use will only become more popular. avi.NET, along with other AVI conversion programs, require the correct type of VOB file. What we desire is a ready processed VOB file, not a RAW VOB, in other words you need to have used rip.NET or DVD Decrypter in IFO mode and have ripped the correct program chain.
Do not use DVD Decrypters Stream Processing option !
avi.NET MUST have the XviD Video Codec v1.1 or above and/or the DivX Video Codec v6.0.3 or above installed prior to using avi.NET. avi.NET requires .NET FRAMEWORK v2.0 to be installed for it to work!!!
avi.NET allows the user to load in a ripped VOB file (remember to have it ripped correctly), select options and convert it to AVI. All AVIs made using avi.NET are SAP friendly, whether DivX or XviD codec used (both DivX 6 and DivX HE supported). Obviously theyll play just fine on your PC too. Ill now go into more detail about the usage and various options in avi.NET.
avi.NET will accept both MPEG1 or MPEG2 files for input, which includes DVD, SVCD and VCD. Upon loading a file, avi.NET will invoke DGIndex (included) to index the input file and give us the information needed for us to proceed. When our file has finished indexing youll see the movie start to play/preview. Just remember, youll hear the audio being played too, its just there to make sure you have the correct language selected or if the audio needs changing so dont worry too much if its out-of-sync.
avi.NET now includes:
mobile.NET which is a stripped down version of avi.NET for PPCs and Smartphones (320x240).
index.NET which will batch load/save jobs to automate the process on indexing.

AVI ReComp is an application that allows you to recompress your AVI files. AVI ReComp supports not only files containing audio streams but AVIs without any audio as well. For the time being the program uses only XviD codec for the recompression process (versions: 1.0.3 or newer).
The installation pack contains all required components (the newest versions of: VirtualDubMod, AviSynth and XviD). AVI ReComp can be very useful for users who want to clear their AVIs out of GMC or Qpel functions to prepare their clips for standalone DVD players.
AVI ReComp contains the feature of embedding subtitles into video. So if you want burnt in subtitles, you can use this software. Additionally the newest versions allow you to add black borders to your movie and place your subtitles on them. You can also adjust all settings for ssa and ass subtitles (style, colour, position).
AVI ReComp enables batch encoding, getting detailed information about AVI files and adding own logo to the movie. You can also change a resolution and aspect ratio of your video clip. AVI ReComp supports AVIs with the following audio formats: mp3, wav, ac3, dts, ogg.
AVI ReComp supports the following subtitle formats: TMPlayer (.txt), MicroDVD (.txt / .sub), SubViewer2 (.sub), SubRip (.srt), Advanced SubStation Alpha (.ass), SubStation Alpha (.ssa). The program includes multilingual interface (for the time being: British, Czech, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Polish, Serbian and Slovenian).
