Backup Opera gives you the possibility to create a backup for the important files and folders for the OPERA browser. You can also define which files you want to backup.

Version restrictions:
- No setup : just copy the executable file into a shared directory on the master station of your network (the server for example) and execute the program through the network share.
- The program starts automatically every time you restart a computer and log in (an icon appears on the tray icon bar near the clock).
- Minimal Configuration and parameters :Just choose a directory that will contain all your backups and choose on each workstation which directories you want to backup.
- Centralized configuration : no matter how many workstations you have on your network it takes only a few minutes to configure all the parameters.
- Data confidentiality : you can choose if you want to encrypt your data or not.
- You are sure then that even on distant FTP backups no one will open your files.
- Data compression (bzip2):Your data files will be 3 or 4 time smaller when backed up.
- Database backup : with FS BackUp you can backup all kinds of server based databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL,...). You just have to configure the stop and restart scripts.
- Differential backup :Every day FS BackUp only stores new or updated files ,thus avoiding disk space losses. And you can backup several versions of your files and maintain the history. You can then restore any version of your files.
- Automatic updates : FS BackUp checks once a day if a new version is available on our server and then downloads it. FS BackUp then restarts itself without your intervention and you have the last version !

Rapid Backup application was designed to be an efficient, easy-to-use personal file backup tool that will allow you to safeguard your data.
Rapid Backup supports replication of one or more local files and directories to a destination, such as another hard drive, Zip disk, or floppy disk. In the future, it will also support targets like tapes or remote FTP sites.
This version of Rapid Backup is designed to give a preview of its development. Many features havent been completed yet, but enough of the basics are done to make it a useful tool.
Rapid Backup consists of two main components: the service and the user interface. The service is a small program that runs all the time. It handles all management of backups. The user interface runs only while you are configuring the serivce. The user interface can be closed while the service continues running backups, saving memory.
A job is the basic unit that Rapid Backup uses to organize your data. A job includes one or more source files or directories, and the target location. For example, you might have a job with the source directory C:My Documents and the target location D:Backup Data.

FreeBackup main features: full and incremental backup - file-version history (stores revisions of backup files) - backup on removable media - sub-directories are included automatically - easy restoring of files and directories - source code available. This is how FreeBackup works: Each time a backup is made (full or incremental) the file structure of ALL backup files is preserved in a database (files_yymmddhhmm.mdb). This databases is used for restoring purposes. Next the files are copied to the backup medium. They are renamed in order to allow multiple revisions (e.g. testfile.doc to testfile.doc_yymmddhhmm). The directory structure is not changed and so is reflected unchanged on the backup medium. The name, size, date and backup medium numbers of all backed up files are stored in a separate database (backup_yymmddhhmm.mdb) for redundancy reasons. Finally the 2 databases are copied to the backup medium.
