Free Barcode Fonts 3.01 is an excellent package which offers three robust barcodes for common use - Code 39 , Industrial 2of5 and Postnet. It lets you solve every day barcode requirements from simple items tagging to the creation of mailing labels. The versatility of the fonts makes them very useful because you can use them in almost any software that supports text input and font selection.
The packages includes an Encoder that converts raw data into a form suitable for barcodes and contains Visual Basic macros that can be used in Word and Excel. Extensive help is also provided for using the barcodes in Mail Merge.
Major Features:
- Code 39 is one of the earliest and most popular barcode. It supports numbers, uppercase characters and several punctuation characters.
- Industrial 2of5 is a widely used barcode for encoding numbers. It is called 2of 5 because the barcode is always encoded with 2 wide bars and 3 narrow bars (total of 5 bars). Each of the bars is separated by a narrow space.
- Postnet is a fixed width/height barcode that is used widely by the U.S. Postal Service. It encodes numeric digits by using 5 bars and 4 spaces. The bars have two different bar heights, short and tall.

- Create a new subdirectory called "/friendly" and copy the existing fonts into the new directory at the same time renaming them with full font names -and/or
- Create an HTML document with full font names linked to the more cryptic original names.
- Clicking on any font in file list will display all info contained in the NAME table of each font.
The Friendly Font Namer application was designed to help you rename TrueType and Type1 font files, replacing the often arcane names with the full font name.
Note: This app supercedes my original app "TrueType Friendly Namer" by adding the capability to rename Type1 fonts as well.
