Battery Monitor is a simple application that records the performance of your battery over a discharge cycle by writing the power and estimated remaining time to a text file every minute. You can then use this list of values to see if it works as it should. (E.g., does it discharge fully or does it break down prematurely?)

Note that this tool does nothing magical. It simply records to a file what you can see when you use a stop watch and look at the battery indicator in the control strip or menu bar.

Since the values of every minute get recorded, you can use the output also to iport into a spreadsheet for making nice graphs. Its up to you to figure out how to do that.

Battery Monitor Widget is a free widget.

There are many battery monitors available, but I wanted one that was small, easily identifiable, dockable to the edge of the screen, and customizable for color and orientation. This is my effort.

Battery Health Monitor is a useful freeware tool for PowerBook and iBook owners that monitors virtual all battery health parameters and displays them in an easy-to-read format.

Original capacity is an indication of the batterys storage when it was new. Current capacity indicates how much that original capacity has changed with use.

Current charge shows the batterys current charge state while Charge Cycles indicates how many complete charge/discharge cycles the battery has experienced. The percentage value indicates approximately what portion of the number of total recharge cycles the battery supports have been used.

The annunciators at the top of the window indicate the state of the computers power manager circuit and the battery or batteries installed.

iStat battery is a free and simple Widget to monitor your laptops battery with a striking design and two different views.

Switching between the simple and advanced views is merely a matter of clicking on the dials centre.

Xfce 4 Battery Plugin is a battery monitor panel plugin for Xfce4, written by Nick Penwarden and Edscott Wilson Garcia, compatible with APM and ACPI, for Linux and *BSD.

Usage:

· Compile or install xfce4-battery-plugin
· Right-click the panel > Add New Items
· Add the Battery Monitor
· Right-click plugin > Properties for the properties dialog

Battery Log will monitor the batteries in your handheld and give you an estimated date for their replacement, based on actual usage of your handheld.

Here are some key features of "Battery Log ":

· Extra support for models like Vx, M500 and M505 that can recharge on the cradle. BatteryLog will detect this event and estimate how long the handheld needs to be on the cradle to be fully recharged.

iPod Battery is used to change the iPod battery indicator. By default iPod display a battery with some small tags.

You can change to a numeric rappresentation from 0 to 999, giving a better understanding of battery status.
