Biorhythm is a free widget that computes biorhythms (biological cycles) for a given birthday.

Biorhythms are a method to predict three cycles in your life based on your birthday. These cycles are the physical (23 days), emotional (28 days) and intellectual (33 days) cycle. Each of these cycles goes through different phases: high, low and critical.

A Pocket PC based application which will give you daily Biorhythm readings based on your birth date. Easy to use calendar. Simple navigation.

Generic prediction is provided for the current day by default or any selected date. If the predictions are strong for sports or business for certain days, they are also provided.

Birth date and your name need to be setup prior to use, by selecting the File->Setup menu.

Almost everyone has heard about Biorhythms but maybe not everyone knows exactly what it is. The basics of Biorhythms are quite easy to understand. From birth to death each of us is influenced by three internal cycles: the physical, the emotional and the intellectual.

The physical biorhythm lasts 23 days and affects our physical factors like: endurance, coordination, strength, speed, resistance to disease and generally sensation of physical well-being.

The next cycle is the emotional which is 28 days long. It influences our nervous system and is responsible for: mental health, sensitivity, creativity, mood, perception of the world and generally all emotional states.

The last one is the intellectual biorhythm. It takes 33 days and influences our memory, alertness, receptivity to knowledge, logical function of the mind, speed of learning, accuracy of computation etc.

On the day of birth all three cycles start to raise from zero point and they look like a Sinus curve. At the middle of each cycle they cross zero point again and start to fall. At the end of cycle the point zero is recrossed into a positive phase and the whole process begins again. Generally, on positive days abilities associated with each cycle are high and on negative days - they are low. The most unstable times are the critical days and zero days when biorhythm crosses its point zero. The first day of the cycle is called the zero day and the middle day of the cycle is called the critical day. During those days the abilities vary wildly, from extremely high to extremely low. You must beware of those days! Your system has the lowest efficiency. In that period you are susceptible to accidents and adversity. For people seriously interested in theory of Biorhythms I highly recommend book by Bernard Gittelson Biorhythm - A Personal Science.

Our program allows you to see all three biorhythms for any date, get the text interpretation for the current day, export critical days (days when the diagram crosses the coordinate axis) to Agenda - you just set the start date and the interval (in months). The line exported to Agenda will contain both the persons name and the cycle name if you correspondingly assign them as %n and %c. The program works both with its own database as well as with the Contacts database (persons with date of birth only).

You may change the diagrams colour. There are 3 zooms for 10, 20 and 30 days, level indicator bar for each biorhythm from -100% to +100%.

If the corresponding option is selected then the program automatically refreshes the diagram if the date is changed. The indicator always shows the biorhythms level for the current date. If you assign hotkey in options and press it you can change the indicator location (arrows) and size (shift+arrows). Arrows + Chr move the indicator for 10 pixels each press instead of usual 1 pixel. Arrows + Chr + Shift change the size 10 steps per each press. Space key changes indicator type (horizontal/vertical). If all necessary changes are made just press Enter or Esc.
