As for the Automatic Slow Downloads Disconnecting option, this disconnects sources which are not being of much help and finds new ones instead. In other words, if download speed during segmented downloading gets too low, the source is disconnected to avoid unnecessary slot usage. Moreover, StrongDC++ includes element of fun and can be easily personalized; you can set your favorite sounds, change color scheme and icons, select the option for showing popup balloons, and even use emoticons.
Cons
Some older versions of AVG antivirus may flag this utility as a virus and even delete it. In case your utility setup is faulty, its memory usage shoots up. At times, due to the same reason, StrongDC++ may function erratically and can even be flakey, in which case you should not use it across your LAN.
Conclusion
Overall, StrongDC++ is a great file sharing utility with many smart features and additional benefits over the older version. It may not be the most popular or the fastest not even the most performant yet it does have its own unique and attactive assets.
