SweepRAM is a little freeware application that will very quickly try to free some unused RAM SweepRAM is different than most if not all memory cleaners out there for a couple of reasons:

How does it work? How/When should I use it?
As mentioned before, SweepRAM will not try to allocate a lot of memory then releasing it, instead it will go through all running processes and basically ask for them to be put out of RAM (into VM).
When that happens, of course they?ll get right back there, but only as little as they actually need to as that time; meaning, after that they will only use as much RAM as they actually need to for the time being. This is, to me, a much better solution, and also a very faster one!
The idea of SweepRAM is not to free/clean RAM all the time because having your RAM used up is good. The idea is to make sure only what?s needed is being used by all running processes, making as much RAM available as possible for your work.
What you should do is, on the morning after you?ve turned your computer on, and started all applications that will be running all day long (antivirus, notes software, all residents you may have, etc) the first thing you do, before actually starting to work, is to run SweepRAM.
That way, all running applications will reduce their memory use to the required amount, giving use as much RAM available for your work as possible. You don?t need to run it all the time, it?s actually not recommended to, because if you are working on something, chances are whatever application you?re using is using memory so that it can work as fast as possible.
Even if your free RAM is not so high as it was hours before, running a memory cleaner at that point would actually probably only slow you down more than anything.
But, once you?re done working, you?ve closed your application, and you?re back on an ?idle? state, then, before starting to work on something else, you might run SweepRAM again, so all memory that?s been used up by running processes can be freed to give it back to you, for your next work.
