When browsing files there are a few different things you can do with the images.
Main features:
- 1.) Copy to the clipboard.
- This is most useful when you have AbiWord or another word processor open and would like to paste the image into a document. Also handy to paste into an image editor like the Gimp or Photoshop.
- 2.) Edit in Graphics Editor.
- Found something interesting but would like to modify it? On Linux you can send to Gimp, XV or ImageMagick, if installed on your PC. On Windows the image is sent to the default editor.
- 3.) Modify using the viewers filters.
- Use one filter or several. Images you modify are saved into a temporary file that is deleted when you close the application. "Undo" returns you to the image you started with before any editing was done (regardless of how many filters were used.)
- 4.) Save the modified file.
- For later use. Sometimes you may want to use the image again. You can save any image as a PNG, GIF, JPEG or BMP.
- 5.) View full-size image.
- The viewer always show an image of size 240x240 or less in the application window. However, choosing "View Full Size" will open a popup window with the image in its full width and height.
- -- TIP: you can have more than one of these open at a time. So you can open a full-size with an original image, use a filter, then open another full-size to compare!
