Pasting rich content from various applications might result in color definitions using the rgb style. As not all blogs support it (like for example the Community Server) it might be required to convert the colors to the hex format.
As it can be done using some regular expressions it still requires quite some work - depending on the amount of colors used in the text fragment. RGB Color to Hex Converter Plugin for Windows Live Write was designed to scan the selected text fragment for any rgb colors and recalculate them into hex format and then replaces the original definition.

Main features:
- Shade Slider - Drag the shade slider to make the color lighter or darker.
- Preview - Shows the selected color. A palette icon in the corner indicates that the current palette contains that color. Clicking the palette icon opens the Palette Tool window. Clicking the color preview box when the palette icon is not visible converts the current color to the nearest available color in the current palette.
- Color Picker Tool - Click the icon and hold down either mouse button while dragging the cursor to the pixel on the screen that you want to get the color of. The cursor?s X and Y coordinates are displayed as well.
- Format Converter Tool - Select a format (HTML, RGB, HSL, CMY, Hexadecimal, Decimal or Octal) to convert from, enter the formatted value, and click Convert to interpret the value and set the current color.
- Palette Tool - Displays Color Selector?s Palette Tool.
