Microsofts .NET Framework class library contains no classes that will allow developers to access File Transfer Protocol (FTP) services directly.
KCommons FTP component was designed to compensate for the fact that .NET lacks FTP support.
With this FTP component, programmers can build either Windows Forms or ASP.NET (Web Forms) applications that will allow users to send or receive a single file or multiple files, using the FTP protocol.
Operations for synchronous and asynchronous (using a callback or an event) transfers are supported. KCommon supports passive mode, but does not support active mode, which could cause problems with poorly written firewalls. Recall that in passive mode, the data flow is set up and initiated by the FTP client, rather than the server.
This means improved security for the client computer, because it wont have to deal with data flow being set up by the server. The component is written in C#.
It is not marked as CLS compliant. It does not support proxy servers. The online description erroneously refers to an FtpSession type (it should be Session).
Enhancements:

- VB client can directly access FtpDirectory.Files and FtpDirectory.SubDirectories with for each statement now

The abfComponents product is a base part of the ABF Visual Components Library, contains a set of powerful and easy-to-use common components, lots of classes and procedures.
Product is compatible with all 32-bit versions of Borland Delphi and C++Builder. abfComponents is free for non-commercial usage, you can freely download a full featured version.
If you are planning to use this product in some commercial project you should purchase the source code or purchase a full version of ABF VCL.

Acl COM Component 1 has come as a helpful program which gives you a scriptable (ActiveX) set of objects you can use to manage a Microsoft Exchange 5.5 Information Store folder's access control list (ACL) using a CDO 1.2.1 Folder object. Microsoft Exchange 5.5 folder access control lists are stored as a table in the Exchange Store, modifiable only through the Messaging API (MAPI) or through CDO 1.2.1 using this component.

Conceptually, MCFlagHint is a combination of the Windows popup hints, "Whats this?" context popup help, and our needs to quickly show and hide diagnostic messages.
MCFlagHint simplifies the users life:
- User has no need to search the screen for the problematic control ? the component will set focus to it, graphically point to it and display the message near to it.
- User has no need to perform any special actions to discard this message from the screen. When he understand the message then he just continue with his task and the message will disappear.
- Programmer may use only single function call, DoFlagHint, to display the message (see the Example below).

SMURLLabel component offers you an analog of a WWW-label - when youll click, automatically will be started default browser or email messages editor.

- property LinkType - a link type (ltFile, ltFTP, ltGopher, ltHTTP, ltMailTo, ltNews, ltTelNet)
- properties LinkFont and PassiveFont - active/passive font for display of the label
- property LabelType - label type (Active - always label is active, Passive - always label is passive, Auto - label is active when mouse is above label and passive when mouse is outside of a label)
- property ShowPrefix - show prefix from LinkType in Caption or not
- property URL - what a www-link is made active on clicking
- property URLAsHint - display or not a linked url

The TSMLanguage component will allow you to develop multilanguage applications without being forced to recompile.
You can define the external files with translated strings and custom messages and in run-time to load it for modification of component properties.
In design-time you can automatically generate the resource file and properties for the next translation.
