Trying to stop the runaway service without the RSS uninstall program/timer toolbar that was deleted can be frustrating and difficult. This utility has been tested on Windows Vista / 2003 / XP / 2000 / NT / ME / 98 / 95 and will stop, kill and uninstall the RSS service. It will not attempt to remove files or delete registry entries so you may still need to do some clean up as this utility is not designed to do that but at least the RSS service will be uninstalled and the call-back attempts will stop.
