"WPF/E" (codename) is a browser enhancement module that enables browsers to render rich content in addition to HTML. WPF/E" is compatible with Internet Explorer 6.0 and 7.0 and also with Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.8 and 2.0. The Dec 2006 CTP will expire on February 18, 2007.
"WPF/E" (codename) is supported on the following browsers and platforms:

Open XML Format SDK 2.0 April 2009 CTP is a full-featured program which provides strongly typed part and content classes for use with Open XML documents.
Open XML is an open ECMA 376 standard and is also approved as the ISO/IEC 29500 standard that defines a set of XML schemes for representing spreadsheets, charts, presentations, and word processing documents. Microsoft Office Word 2007, Excel 2007, and PowerPoint 2007 all use Open XML as the default file format.
The Open XML file formats are useful for developers because they use an open standard and are based on well-known technologies: ZIP and XML.
Instructions: To install this download:
- Download the file by clicking the Download link (above) and saving the file to your hard disk.
- Double-click the OpenXMLSDKv2.msi program file on your hard disk to start the setup program.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation.
Major Features:
- This download provides strongly typed part and content classes for use with Open XML documents. The April 2009 CTP release adds support for the validation of Open XML documents.
- The Open XML Format SDK 2.0 is built on top of the System.IO.Packaging API and provides strongly typed part classes to manipulate Open XML documents.
- The SDK also uses the .NET Framework Language-Integrated Query (LINQ) technology to provide strongly typed object access to the XML content inside the parts of Open XML documents.

XNA Game Studio Express enables hobbyists, academics and small, indie game developers to more easily create video games using new, optimized cross-platform gaming libraries based on .NET for Windows and Xbox 360. The beta 2 release targets games development for Windows.
The final version of XNA Game Studio Express will be available later this holiday season and will enable development of games which target Windows and upon purchase of an XNA Creators Club subscription, the Xbox 360 as well.
While we`re very proud of this Beta 2 milestone and it represents full functionality on Windows, it does not include the full feature set for developing, debugging and playing games on the Xbox 360. The features specific to the 360 console will become available upon the final release of XNA Game Studio Express later this holiday.
This beta also does not include the additional starter kits and tutorials which will be made available upon final release of XNA Game Studio Express and/or as part of your XNA Creators Club subscription
Instructions
- Install Microsoft Visual C# 2005 Express Edition using the link below.
- Download and run the Microsoft XNA Game Studio Express Beta 2 installer.
- Follow the instructions displayed during setup.
- Launch Microsoft XNA Game Studio Express from the Start Menu.
Requirements:
- Supported Operating Systems: Windows XP Service Pack 2
Only supported on Microsoft Windows XP SP2 (all editions) at this time. Windows Vista support will be available in an update to version 1 next year.
- Hardware requirements are identical to those for Visual Studio 2005 plus a graphics card that supports DirectX 9.0c and Shader Model 1.1 (Shader Model 2.0 is recommended and required for some Starter Kits).
- This release requires Microsoft Visual C# 2005 Express Edition to be installed before proceeding. You can install Visual C# Express from the Visual C# Express Download Page. Visual C# Express and XNA Game Studio Express can co-exist on the same computer with other members of the Visual Studio 2005 line of products, for example Visual Studio 2005 Professional.

- Contacts: The Contacts control allows developers to include Windows Live Contacts into their web pages. The control provides the ability to raise client and server events for sign-in/sign-out and data transfer activities. It also allows the developer?s webpage to get word of mouth through viral traffic. This control is an ASP.NET version of the existing JavaScript control.
- SilverlightStreamingMedia: The SilverlightStreamingMedia control extends the ASP.NET Futures Media control by allowing you to play videos from your Silverlight Streaming account. Now at design time, you can specify your account credentials and choose the video you want to display on your web pages.
- IDLogin: The IDLogin control quickly allows you to provision Windows Live ID authentication for your application. Now you drag and drop the control on your web page, provision your Application ID, and compile/run the project. This also provides for client/server side events for sign-in/sign-out user actions, a property to maintain your application context, and properties to specify background/foreground colors to mesh with your web page.
- IDLoginView: IDLoginView extends the functionality of the ASP.NET LoginView control by adding support for Windows Live ID authentication. It allows you to associate a Windows Live ID with an ASP.NET membership profile to provide a single sign-on experience for your web site users. It adds new templates to provide richness in your web site based on the login state of your web site user.
