This spell didn't work on the young X-Creature (who lives on X-Planet) because he had just returned to the planet from a visit with his spaceship immediately after the spell was cast.

Background
The RMparians have invaded our Solar System and are trying to deplete our defences to the point we can no longer defend ourselves against them.In a last ditch effort a secret ship known as Zex was designed and built from captured alien hardware. Disguised as a RMparian vessel, it was sent through a warphole into the RMparian galaxy along with a few Earth Motherships.
As the game starts, you find yourself in command of Zex as a lowly Ensign. Your job is to force a retreat of the RMparians and secure a peaceful future for Mother Earth. Not an easy task, and not a task accomplished in a few minutes!
Of course, you may want to just work on improving your rank, making money, pirating the odd bit of cargo or generally just exploring the galaxy. It is up to you.

Your job is to guide young Mowgli, the man-cub, through the dangers of the jungle, defeating some of Africas vilest villains, leading up to, and including, the tiger, Sheer-Kahn. Guiding your way, pretty much on the sidelines, are Bagheera, Balou, a squad of young elephants as progress markers, and a more neutral elephantine Dawn Patrol. And lets not forget a healthy dose of none-to-friendly, coconut chuckin monkeys!
This game is a standard movie adaption. Its a nice platform game (both horizontally and vertically scrolling). You get to play as Mowgli (of course), to shoot at, err, throw fruit at all kinds of critters, climb trees etc.
Watch Mowgli grow before you very eyes as he learns new tricks and journeys to exciting new levels of fun. Bagheera, Baloo, and all your favorite residents of Rudyard Kiplings book are on hand to help Mowgli on his journey. This side-scrolling adventure is filled with wonderful animation and backgrounds rendered in a pleasing color palate, along with some stunning pieces of full-motion video. However, the bots are a bit dim and sometimes don't use the transporters.
