Current project is an open source implementation of a server to interact with the Up2date Agent shipped in Red Hat Linux.

Everything is implemented for a basic, anonymous only system. We are working to extend support for non-anonymous (fully managed) setups.

Here are some key features of "Current":

· This version fixes errors in the channel scan code path that was nonfunctional in 1.7.5.
· This also includes code to reconnect to MySQL databases when the connection times out.
· The database also collects a bit more meta information about each client, and that is displayed in the TG web interface.

Whats New in This Release:

· Current can now receive podcasts. Current will create a file page for each downloaded enclosure. Users have the option to have downloaded files opened automatically in their default application. A Downloads view has been added, displaying all files downloaded from web pages and RSS feeds.
· Improved blogging support including the ability to route selected text, a selected headline, or an entire page to your weblog space for posting via a new BlogThis menu option.
· RSS feed management has been improved through the support of per-feed level preferences in the Info Panel. Refresh intervals and enclosure handling are now available on a per-feed basis.
· The Changes button now presents a listing of each version of the page in the Browse panel. A Compare option enables you to compare the active version to any other version. Differences are summarized in the Info panel, with each change associated with a button that enables you to revert the change.
· Gathering has been enhanced through bookmarklets that route content discovered in external browsers into Current for archiving and weblog posting.
· More resources have been added to the Near-Time Resource home page, including a weblog and RSS feed outlining product tips, tricks, and development.
· A horizontal scroll bar now appears when images are too large for the viewer window.

This set of scripts was written to help rate songs on headless Macs running iTunes. It basically comes down to providing an easy way to rate songs with just a keyboard. It provides verbal feedback for the user as well, so you know if it worked.

NOTE: iTunes must be the front running application in order for these apps to work. There are lots of switchers that can make this happen (there are also some workarounds I can share as well, but they are harder to configure, so not documented here).

Subscribe to Current OmniWeb Page in NetNewsWire is a simple script for your script menu. Take the current page in OmniWeb and passes it to NetNewsWire as a new subscription. I can t stand OmniWeb s bookmark-driven RSS reader, so this does the trick for me.

Make a Color for the Current Box is an AppleScript uses the "choose color" dialog from the Jons Commands osax to let the user interactively create and adjust a color for the selected text box, picture box, or line.
It is a good example of repeating dialogs with checks and sub-routines.
