Raster images made from pixels acquired from scanner or CCD camera can be translated into scalable geometric shapes. Vector based images are the best way to display high quality graphics with the minimum amount of information.
Extracting this information from raster images is a great challenge, and algorithms will probably never replace our artistic sensitivity. However Vector Eye was designed to do better than current products, and gives surprisingly good results.
Vector Eye combines efficient colour segmenting with robust curve fitting. Algorithms were developed in close relations with Research in image processing and without forgetting artistic considerations. The curve fitting is precise and allows you to use Vector Eye to vectorize fonts and inked drawings.
Moreover, the curves are always well preserved since the fitting can smooth big curves without losing details. Unlike other tracing programs, it simplifies the result image by removing non significant details and extracts the image essence. As a result, files are much smaller and ready for the web. Compatible with Adobe, Corel, Jasc, Macromedia, Microsoft and all Svg, Eps, Ps editors.
Displays 2 simultaneous plots with cursors positions and deltas. File load, save, and print. Input point overlays for curve fitting. Trig, Ln, Log functions supported.

The PowerForm application was designed to be a data fitting and curve fitting program that will produce a linear algebraic expression for a set of paired X,Y data.
Unlike common least squares polynomial methods, Powerform employs positive, negative, integer and fractional exponents which enable visually better curve fits and lends greater accuracy to interpolated data. Power exponents are selected automatically, saving the user time and effort.
Powerform includes optional selectable transcendental pre-processing functions which straighten data before fitting takes place. In full automatic mode, Powerform evaluates all pre-processing options, denoting the three most effective. Presently these functions include logarithmic, exponential, sinh, cosh, tanh and their reciprocals.
Because the program involves significant computation, a processor speed exceeding 1 GHz is recommended. Results of curve fitting are portrayed using numerical and graphical output formats on the console screen; results also saved as file data if required. Operating instructions are supplied in a HTML file, together with the program executable file and demonstration data in one self-installing .exe package, presently of about 397 kbytes length.
The software enables you to smooth, interpolate, apply FFT and Wavelet filters, subtract, differentiate, integrate, and transform data and curves, and extract cyclic signals. The program comes with 200 built-in common graphing 2D functions support for polar, cartesian, and parametric equations. Built-in Wizard helps to digitize the data. The program supports OLE automation and can be built-in to other software applications.

CurveFitter program performs statistical regression analysis to estimate the values of parameters for linear, multivariate, polynomial, exponential and nonlinear functions. The regression analysis determines the values of the parameters that cause the function to best fit the observed data that you provide. This process is also called "curve fitting".
Quickly Find the Best Equations that Describe Your Data:
Curvefitter gives engineers and researchers the power to find the ideal model for even the most complex data, by putting a large number of equations at their fingertips. Curvefitters built-in library includes a wide array of linear and nonlinear models from simple linear equations to high order polynomials. Curve fitters state-of-the-art data fitting includes the following capabilities:
*A 38-digit precision math emulator for properly fitting high order polynomials and rationals.
*A robust fitting capability for nonlinear fitting that effectively copes with outliers and a wide dynamic Y data range.
Graphically Review Curve Fit Results:
Once your data have been fit, Curvefitter automatically sorts and plots the fitted equations by the statistical criteria of Standard Error. You can preview your graph and output publication-quality graphs in several different configurations. A residual graph as well as parameter output is generated for the selected fitted equation. Data, statistical and numeric summaries are also available from within the Review Curve Fit window.
With All This Power, its Still Easy to Use:
Curvefitter takes full advantage of the Windows user interface to simplify every aspect of operation -- from data import to output of results. Import data from many popular file formats including Excel, Lotus and ASCII. Once your data are in the editor, select a pre-defined equation and start the automatic fitting process with a single mouse click.
