It is certainly the shortest of the full ASCII linear barcode fonts and the check digit computation is fairly straightforward. This package includes two barcode fonts, standard and large. Available here is an online tool for creating a code 128 barcode from raw text. The code can then be cut and pasted into your document. Installing the freeware Code 128 font set on Windows will also install the Code 128 check digit shareware application for your evaluation.
