Dates is a small, light-weight calendar that shares data with GNOME Evolution. Dates features an innovative, unified, zooming view and is designed for use on hand-held devices, such as the Nokia 770 or the Sharp Zaurus series of PDAs.

M-Dates! allows you to easily convert between the Gregorian calendar and the Muslim (or Islamic) Calendar.

When the program starts, the current Gregorian date is displayed, as well as the conversion to the Muslim Calendar. You can tap the displayed Gregorian date and select a new date, and the Moselm Calendar date will be displayed. Or you can use the arrow buttons above the "D" (day), "M" (month), "Y" (year), labels to increment or decrement the Muslim Calendar date by one day, one month or one year, respectively.

Due to the nature of the conversions from Gregorian to Muslim, and from Muslim back to Gregorian, the date could be off by 1 day. All conversions used by the program come from the Astronomical Algorithms by Jean Meeus, Second Edition, available at Willmann-Bell, Inc.
