Free decompress files software for windows

This program helps you pack files and/or split them for easy transportation Alternate Compressor is an application that can pack single files and/or split them in several parts (to transport them on disks).
With Alternate Compressor you can create selfextracting files, so you do not have to install this program on the target PC.
How to use
Use the open button to select your file - then click on compress if you want to compress it or on decompress to undo it.
Compressed files are ended with .acf (and a number, if they are splitted)
If you have splitted a file, always start the decompressing with the first file (Filename.ACF1).
Another feature of this program is to create a so called self extractor, which means, that the compressed file is capsulated inside an executable. This works for splitted files, too (the first one is executable). Select execute file while opening, if the compressed file should be automatically decompressed and started. Auto extract just automatically extracts it. Use the use windows temp folder if one of the two above mentiod things were selected and you like to run this extractor from any medium (e.g. a CD).
