A free hard disk partitioning and data management tool Partition Logic is a free hard disk partitioning and data management tool. It can create, delete, format, and move partitions and modify their attributes. It can copy entire hard disks from one to another.
With Partition Logic you can make partitions on your hard disk.
Partition Logic is free software, available under the terms of the GNU General Public License. It is based on the Visopsys operating system. It boots from a CD or floppy disk and runs as a standalone system, independent of your regular operating system.
Partition Logic is intended to become a free alternative to such commercial programs as Partition Magic, Drive Image, and Norton Ghost.
System requirements:

Version restrictions:

- Cannot format partitions as NTFS or EXT3. Currently supports FAT (12/16/32), EXT2, and Linux swap.

- No hardware support for serial mice
- No hardware support for USB keyboards and mice. Currently supports only PS/2 keyboards and mice

These limitations are intended to be fixed in future releases.

A software utility that recovers a partition accidentally deleted. PartitionRecovery is a free software utility that you can use when you have accidentally deleted a partition. The software will restore the files and folders.

With this program you could save all data on a partition to a file (such as you could save this file on a CD for example). Then if something goes wrong, you can completely restore the partition from the backup file. You no longer have to reinstall every piece of software from scratch. Note: beware of software which installs or modifies files on multiple partitions (e.g. Windows programs which update the registry or DLLs that may be on other partitions).
