Free delphi component software for windows

FlagHint gives you a component for Delphi 6,7.
The package includes:
- License agreement;
- Manual in HTML file (is what you currently read);
- Source code of the sample project;
- FREE ? full source code of the component (FlagHint.pas).
Conceptually, MCFlagHint is a combination of the Windows popup hints, "Whats this?" context popup help, and our needs to quickly show and hide diagnostic messages.
MCFlagHint simplifies the users life:
- User has no need to search the screen for the problematic control ? the component will set focus to it, graphically point to it and display the message near to it.
- User has no need to perform any special actions to discard this message from the screen. When he understand the message then he just continue with his task and the message will disappear.
- Programmer may use only single function call, DoFlagHint, to display the message (see the Example below).
Main features:
- MCFlagHint is displayed as modeless window (not modal or dialog) and can be discarded due to any user acivity (clicking mouse or pressing keyboard) excepting the mouse movements.
- Only one MCFlagHint window can be visible at the same moment.

SMAngleLabel component is the successor TCustomLabel with the extended features. Is able to display the text under any angle. This component allows to change a horizontal alignment and vertical layout.
SMAngleLabel component works with Alignment and Layout properties.

a free open source component for Delphi 2.0 and C++ Builder 1.0 TSuperList was designed to be a free open source component for Delphi 2.0 and C++ Builder 1.0 (it will work in later versions, just build a package) that incorporates better control over a standard TListbox control.
TSuperList incorporates a panel with a plus and minus button for addition to and deletion from a listbox. Input and editing is made through a built in InputBox, so it requires no coding to add, delete, or edit items in the listbox. The majority of the testing has been done in C++ Builder because that is the environment that I work in most. I wrote it in Delphi so that it reaches a greater number of people.
System requirements:
- Delphi 2.0 and C++ Builder 1.0

ColorPanel componeny offers you a compact color palette panel. It is consists of 4 areas (from top to bottom):
The Color Test Spot, painted with currently selected color
Palette of Microsoft Office-like color cells
Color hexagon with Blackness control
Grayscale palette
Keyboard Control:
- Select next area: Ctrl + Right Arrow
- Select previous area: Ctrl + Left Arrow
- Select next color cell: Right Arrow
- Select previous color cell: Left Arrow
- Increase Blackness: Ctrl + Down Arrow
- Decrease Blackness: Ctrl + Up Arrow
- Finally select color: Ctrl + Enter
Mouse Control:
- Clicking cell will preview color in the Color Test Spot
- Double clicking any cell (or single clicking the Color Test Spot) will finally select color
Each color cell provides a popup hint with Color Name (when present), RGB value and Hex value. The Color Test Spot only displays a Hex color value.
MCColorPanel completely paint itself and has no child controls. This makes it possible to use with custom comboboxes as a drop-down control (especially with TdxPopupEdit by DevelopersExpress). Also, it can be merely dropped onto a Form.
Version restrictions:
- This component has to be installed into the Delphi Component Palette.

SMScrollToolbar component gives you a TToolbar with extended features: is able to scroll a ToolButton (like Delphi Component Palette)
Extended toolbar with possibility to scroll buttons (like component palette in Delphi/C++Builder IDE).

The Chessboard component v3.03 for Delphi 2-7 and C++ Builder (or v 2.11 for C++ Builder only), is now available. The ChessBoard component provides a 2-Dimensional chessboard with a drag and drop interface that can keep track of a game and allows full customization of the bitmaps for the pieces, squares and border.
Optionally the board can be resized at runtime. All common chess events are implemented (OnLegalMove, OnIllegalMove, OnCapture, OnCheck, OnMate, OnStaleMate, OnDraw etc.)
Now the component includes the engine of Toms Simple Chess Program and calculates using its own thread. Optionally it allows you to use your own custom engine instead as well. Just drop a Chessbrd component on a form and you are very close to a complete multithreaded chess application. A Delphi example project has been included to demonstrate the common features.
