File Diff 01.00
Not sure what has changed between two folders/directories? File Diff will compare and report any differences from both locations. more>>
Easy to Setup: the application utilizes interactive drive and folder selection controls to easily allow the user to find the "Location One" and "Location Two" drive or folder for comparison.
Simple to Operate: the application has a one click Start and Stop operations. Ready to compare, click Start. If you want to quit the comparison process, click Stop. (Doesnt get much better than that!)
Smart Diff: each time the diff executes, it only compares reports the files that really have changed or are missing. By using the file size and last modified date, the diff can make sure that no extra information is reported.
Configurable: want to hide the application while the diff process operates? Dont want to see the report when the application is done? Configure the application to do what you want.
Silent Execution: use the command line to input a "LO" (meaning Location One) and "LT" (meaning Location Two) diff paths and the application will execute and complete without anyone knowing. Perform multiple diff operations and have them scheduled using scheduler.
Powerful Reporting: when synchronization is complete, the application outputs a report in text format which automatically opens for viewing. The report contains only the files which differ between the two paths. For missing folders and files the path is reported, but for files which are different the sizes and last modified dates are reported for easy comparision.
Importable Outputs: the reports are outputted in a comma separated values (CSV) format, making them easily importable into almost any spreadsheet application.
Requirements: 64 MB RAM; 1 MB HD

<<lessDiffExt 1.6.1
DiffExt is a free shell extension (diff-ext) that makes it possible to launch a file comparison tool for 2 or 3 files more>>
Like kdiff3, tkdiff, WinMerge, csdiff, Araxis merge etc. Unfortunately these tools do not give one ability to compare files from Explorer or (in case of Araxis) do not allow to compare files from different directories easily. So, I wrote a very simple extension to Explorers context menu.
DiffExt is a free shell extension (diff-ext) that makes it possible to launch a file comparison tool for 2 or 3 files (depending on the tool) in the same directory or "save" a file(s) for later comparison. It acts as external most recent used (MRU) file list for the comparison tool.
xRecurseDiff 1.5
xRecurseDiff is a sotware that can rapidly traverse entire directory trees to show different version of the same files more>>
For every file in the first directory searches in the second for files having the same name. A report containing results is shown. A detailed diff output can be shown. Search can be case-insensitive and limited by a char filter.
In "library" working mode it compares only files basenames, while in "project" mode it compares relatives paths too. In "files" working mode it compares directly two files.
For the diff output xRecurseDiff uses the nice DiffView widget, extracted from flDiff code.
