Free drive lock software for windows

DopeCode Lock is a start menu utility that adds a new command to the content menu which let you lock your files. DopeCode Lock will add a Lock command to the context menu of all files in the system.
When you lock a file, you are presented with a dialog box asking for a password. Once youve selected the password, the file will be encrypted and password protected.

Copy i-Lock to your USB/Thumb drive. Once copied to your Thumb drive double click the i-Lock icon to launch the application.
You will be presented with a settings box. To be able to encrypt files on your thumb drive and protect your files you must set these settings. By using these settings you will always be ask for a User Name and Password to start i-Lock.
You will still be able to open the drive normally to access the files that are not encrypted but to access any of the files on your thumb drive you must use i-Lock and know the User Name and Password to launch the program.
The encrypted files will end in the .ile extension and can be opened through the right click menu or by double clicking on the encrypted file. By doing so i-Lock will launch and ask you for your User Name and Password Information.
Once given it will decrypt the file and open it in it?s associated program. When you set up your settings use a code for encryption that you will remember.
If your settings file is deleted from your thumb drive you will not be able to open you encrypted files unless you can re-enter the same encryption code when you resave your settings.

After starting the programme (or after startup of Windows) you will find a small CD icon at your system tray. You can either lock, unlock, open or close you CD/DVD drives directly by a right click on the tray icon or maximize the main window of the programme.
Enhancements:
- The drive status is now visualized at the main window by a green (unlocked) or red (locked symbol) and also in the system tray menu.
- With version 0.5.3 the "close all" and "open all" commands have not worked if called from the systray. This bug has been fixed.
- From version 0.5.4 on I will additionallly provide an installer that includes all VB runtime libraries, used by the programme. If you encounter problems with execution of the programme, please try this. Unfortunately the file size for this version is 1.6MB
