DynDNS Updater is a Mac OS X client for use with the free and paid DNS services provided by DynDNS.

Provides support for updating hosts within the free services Dynamic DNs and Static DNS as well as the paid service Custom DNS. Supports updates over HTTPS and provides an auto-setup feature.

DynDNS Client is a Macintosh client for several of the free dynamic dns service providers. These services allow your Mac to have a dns name like mycoolmac.dyndns.org that always points to your Macintosh even if you have a connection that does not get a static IP address. You must have an account with one of the supported services before this client can do anything useful for you.

The client has a setup assistant that will walk you through configuring your client to work with your chosen service.
Each service supports a slightly different feature set, so make sure you register with one that has what you need. Or register with all of them! This client will support an unlimited number of accounts.

This software comes in 2 parts. A faceless background application that your Mac will treat as an extension, and a control panel that serves as its interface. This is an improvement over previous versions of the program where you had to have the status window open all the time. This way the program will only open the interface if it needs to alert you to a problem.

Quartz is an application that will help you Dial/Disconnect/Redial internet connection and update DynDns accounts

A small utility that updates hostnames that use ml.orgs DYNDNS service. DynUp detects your IP address, the status of your Internet connection, and sits out of sight in the tray.

Addns.pl is a self-contained DynDNS update client for DynDNS.org (and possibly others). It supports a variety of IP detection methods including external webcheck/router pages. file.

dyndnsupdate is a tool for keeping dynamic DNS hosts up to date. It simply processes the URLs in dyndns.hosts config file (sends a HEAD request via HTTP). No biggie, but it works.

Put dyndns.hosts in /etc and run dyndnsupdate from an init-script. That way youll be sure that your dyndns hosts are up to date within minutes after rebooting and perhaps changing IP address.

On my Debian box Ive put dyndns.hosts in /etc and linked to dyndnsupdate from etc/rc2.d, like this:
ln -s /usr/bin/dyndnsupdate /etc/rc2.d/S91dyndnsupdate
That will make sure that dyndnsupdate is up and run when rebooting.

Furthermore, it can be encouraged to run dyndnsupdate as a cron-job as well, in case your server should be up for more than a month, since most dyndns providers requires you to update at least once a month.
This can be done by adding the following line to your crontab:
15 5 */25 * * dyndnsupdate -s
Thatll make cron run dyndnsupdate every 25 days at 5:15AM and -s makes the script output nothing (unless errors are encountered) so youll be rid of the annoying exit status mails from cron.

The Seremo Client can also be implemented in IT environments without permanent IP addresses. DynDNS (Dynamic DNS) is used to dial-in to the central VPN gateway with changing public IP addresses which are queried via a public DynDNS server (prerequisite: the destination gateway must support DynDNS).

If you want to run your own FTP or Web server and you have a dynamic IP, get NIPP. It publishes your IP address into existing web pages on the internet. You can create links that are automatically updated with your new IP. Next Version will support DynDNS.

setov511 is an application that can set various aspects of ov511-based (and compatibles) WebCams. You can also make a dump of the current settings.
