AOL Tools is a useful application that provides fun features for you to use on AOL. It is freeware.

If you have Webmaster Tools running at the same time as your favourite editor you will be able to quickly transfer your information from one program to the other.
The wizards have been designed in a question and answer format. You enter the variables and the wizard will write the script for you. You do not need any CSS or JavaScript knowledge.
You do however need rudimentary HTML skills. Most users should have little problem following the format. Some of the wizard pages have examples of what the script will look like on your page. The Script Tester is also a great way to check your code before you paste it into your document.
Each piece of generated code has instructions of where it should be pasted in your document. Some scripts have more than one part and you are given instructions on where to paste each part in your document.
When the code has been generated it is important that you use the "Copy Script" button rather than highlighting the code and right clicking to copy. Using the "Copy Script" button will ensure that long lines of code are wrapped correctly. Incorrectly wrapped lines will cause errors in the code. Most of the wizards have examples of how the script works or will appear on your page.

A few command line utilities to simplify the batch script editors life a bit. all tools are released under the terms of the gnu gpl (except for 3rd party units), delphi 7 sources are included.
Some of the utilities (crc1632, direxist, macid and nocrlf) can also be compiled with turbo pascal 5.5 to create a dos version of them.
The package contains these tools:
Crc1632 calculate the crc16 or crc32 for files or text from stdin
Direxist test for directory existence. sets errorlevel to 0 if the given path exists, and to 1 otherwise (similar to "if exist xyz\nul", but also works on remote and ntfs drives)
Display view and modify display settings from the command line (resolution, frequency, bit depth)
Errlv sets the errorlevel to the given value
filesize sets the errorlevel to the size of the specified file. new as of version 08-21-2005: filesize now can compare a files size to a reference value (bugfix in 08-21-2005a)
Flushdrv flush windows file system buffers (similar to un*x sync, successor of the former flushdrv download)
Forcedir creates a whole directory\subdirectory\... path at once
gpcvreg/gpscript these two programs can modify w2k/xp local group policy files ("registry.pol") via commands from textual control files
Ini2reg reads data from an ini-file and stores it in the registry
instfont install or uninstall fonts via command line
Iskeydown checks if one or more keys are pressed (also control, shift etc.) and sets the errorlevel
Logger enhanced "echo" command, output additional information (like date, time, username...) to a logfile and/or stdout
Macid retrieves the mac address of the specified adapter and writes it to stdout in different formats
Moveex can rename or delete files which are currently locked at next reboot
Msgbox displays a windows message box and sets the errorlevel depending on the user input
Nocrlf reads from stdin, removes all line breaks (cr and lf) and writes the text to stdout

BumpUp is an application that will quadruple the size of a wave file, making it sound 4 times slower than it was. The resulting music is two octaves lower than before.
This allows you to hear the super high frequency content in your music and work with it. You can locate and eliminate persistant ultrasonic ringing and other artifacts that result from sample rate conversions (like from 48k to 44.1k), to prevent your music from sounding "mushy" on FM radios.
Other unwanted artifacts can result from some older synthesizers and some "loud" computer systems.
When you are done filtering the wave file, you can then run BumpDown to return your masterpiece to its original speed. DeSnap eliminates unwanted super loud high frequency clicks (snaps) that so often plague digital music, without sacrificing any brilliance. This is not a filter. It scans wave files for snap events and fixes them.
These simple utilities are indispensable if you are in the habit of pushing your music for the best possible ultra high frequency content.
