AMP (Aircraft Motor Performance) estimates the thrust produced and power consumed by a propeller for an electric aircraft.

Most of the complexity of AMP resides in the propeller model, which is based on N.A.C.A. Technical Note Number 698. AMP currently only supports two bladed propellers up to 25 degrees in pitch measured at .75r. If there is sufficient interest, data for three-bladed propellers and ones of higher pitch or different aspect ratio will be added in the future.

The Battery model is loosely based on Sanyo specifications for NiMh chemistry. It still needs some work, but should do well for most common conditions.

The models for the Gearbox and Speed Controller are overly simplistic. Again, though, they should work for initial estimates.

AMP is a framework-independant Java API that enables processing of AJAX requests in a normal MVC pattern.

AMP framework is currently integrated with the Spring framework to allow for easy configuration. It was inspired by Ruby on Rails partials.

About AJAX:

Asynchronous JavaScript And XML, or its acronym Ajax, is a Web development technique for creating interactive web applications. The intent is to shift a great deal of interaction to the Web surfers computer, exchanging data with the server behind the scenes, so that the entire Web page does not have to be reloaded each time the user makes a change. This is meant to increase the Web pages interactivity, speed, and usability. The Ajax technique uses a combination of:

XHTML (or HTML) and CSS for marking up and styling information.
The DOM accessed with a client-side scripting language, especially ECMAScript implementations like JavaScript and JScript, to dynamically display and interact with the information presented
The XMLHttpRequest object to exchange data asynchronously with the web server. In some Ajax frameworks and in some situations, an IFrame object is used instead of the XMLHttpRequest object to exchange data with the web server.

XML is commonly used as the format for transfering data, although any format will work, including preformatted HTML, plain text, JSON and even EBML.

Like DHTML, LAMP, or SPA, Ajax is not a technology in itself, but a term that refers to the use of a group of technologies together. In fact, derivative/composite technologies based substantially upon Ajax, such as AFLAX, are already appearing.

PerlPoint::Converters is a Perl module that contains a README and common functions for PerlPoint converters.

PerlPoint is a simple text format which allows easy typing of text with headlines, bullet lists, normal text paragraphs, indented paragraphs for code examples etc., from which slides for presentations can be generated by a script without the need of proprietary software.

Since there is a large variety of platforms which provide web browsers, HTML is a good choice for the output format. In principle, however, it is possible to generate each output format whose specification is known. At the moment there exist converters for HTML, LaTeX (alpha software) and SDF. The latter both may be used to generate printable output or to provide the basis for further processing.
