Equalizer is a programming interface and resource management system for scalable multipipe applications.

An Equalizer application can run unmodified on any visualization system, from a singlepipe workstation to large scale graphics clusters and shared memory visualization systems. Equalizer is build from ground up as a parallel, scalable programming interface solving the problems common to any multipipe application.

Equalizer development started in 2005. The source code is available for interested developers and early adopters. Equalizer is a cross-platform toolkit and is initially available for Linux and Mac OS X. A Windows version is planned. Whats New in This Release:

RGB equalizer allows you to fine-tune the individual channels (red, green, blue) of every pixel in your clip. An audio equalizer in your stereo works by selectively boosting or reducing bands of the audio spectrum.

RGB equalizer works essentially the same way, except that it works on the intensities of each channel. This plug sports three 256-band equalizers for total color control, plus individual pre-set and calculation routines for each channel (plus the ability to load from or save your pre-sets to disk)

RTEQ 4 was designed to be an useful utility for processing music files like MP3s or WAVs and for real time adjustment of audio signals from sound card inputs.

Its main purpose is to process the music to suit the users taste. The equalizer achieves this demand by processing the frequency spectrum of the music.

It comes with two versions: a Winamp Plugin and a stand-alone version, which can be used with other players like ITunes or Real Player.

Higher dB values mean higher amplification which means higher freedom in forming transfer functions. RTEQ does not restrict you to +90.2 dB but the hardware does.
· Variable dynamic range
This is a feature you will not see at other equalizers. You can decide whether you want a fine amplification range from -INF to +20dB or a powerful amplification range from -INF to +90.2dB.
· Separate L + R or S + D channels
With RTEQ 4 you can either equalize both stereo channel at once or separately. Possible configuations are separate Left + Right or Sum + Difference channels.
· Dynamic equalizer
RTEQ has got the possibility to equalize dynamically. This produces a much higher qualitative sound than static equalizing.
· Spatial Resurrection
This option lets you widen the spatial effect of stereo music.
· Variable quality
RTEQ lets you choose the compromise between quality and processing power which suits you most. As the quality influences the lowest frequency RTEQ processes a high quality allows the lowest frequency to go down to 2 Hz.
· Supporting presets
Presets let you quickly adjust the equalizer. Presets can also be shared with other users.
· Supporting skins
Make RTEQ look pleasant for you by choosing skins. Skins like presets can be shared with other users.
· Saving files
As a plugin for WinAMP RTEQ can save equalized files. This may prove practical when you dont want to equalize the same file every time you play it.

Brightness equalizer is an iMovie plug-in that lets you exert photoshop-level control over brightness in your clips. It works similar to brightness curve adjust, except that instead of setting in/out values absolutely, you set them relatively (like in an audio equalizer).

A pixels brightness is determined by it s composition of red, green, and blue values. A perfect digital image has a linear brightness range running straight from zero to 255. However, most devices (and especially photo paper) do not perceive everything perfectly.

The straight line becomes distorted. this plug can either distort or repair a clip s brightness curve. Brightness curve adjust sports one 256 band equalizer for individual brightness control, plus individual pre-set and calculation routines (plus the ability to load from or save your pre-sets to disk)

Note: Brightness curve adjust is more powerful, but less intuitive to use than brightness equalizer. If your main goal is to adjust a digital clip to normal film media brightness behavior, you should use this plug. If you need more power, try brightness curve adjust. If you need even more power, try RGB curve adjust.

When we compare digital photographs to what our eye sees, we find a fundamental difference, the digital photograph tends to be less vivid, parts of the photo are clear and sharp while others remain in the shadow.

This problem is caused by the metering process of the digital camera, which measures the lighting of the brightest area in the picture and scales the whole image to fit this range.

The brightest area in the image receives the highest color values, which is typically RGB(255,255,255), and the rest of the image scales colors from this value down.

However, this bright area of the image is often a light source such as the sun or the sky, and the other parts show objects that diffuse the light and have much lesser brightness that the light source.

This causes these areas to appear much darker and have much lower color resolution that the bright parts.

Photo Equalizer appliaction is different from other image editors because it does not change the color map of the whole image, but the colors of individual pixels based upon the area of the image they are located in.

A professional real-time graphic equalizer for Win 95. It enables you to add up to 12 dB of boost or cut at any of 15 bands centered around International Standards Organization (ISO) 2/3 octave frequencies from 20Hz to 20kHz. This two channel system offers completely independent channel control.
