fat32
FAT32format 1.04
FAT32format should take about 4 seconds per Terabyte to format the disk more>> You cannot format a volume larger than 32 gigabytes (GB) in size using the FAT32 file system during the Windows XP installation process. Windows XP can mount and support FAT32 volumes larger than 32 GB (subject to the other limits), but you cannot create a FAT32 volume larger than 32 GB by using the Format tool during Setup. If you need to format a volume that is larger than 32 GB, use the NTFS file system to format it. Another option is to start from a Microsoft Windows 98 or Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Me) Startup disk and use the Format tool included on the disk.
Actually, looking back at the Microsoft comment, if I could format the volume myself, all would be OK. Fat32 is pretty simple, so it occured to me to write a fast format routine to do the job. Note that the 32GB limit is a limit of the formatter in Windows XP. FAT32 itselft should be OK to 2TB, limited by a 32 bit sector count in the boot sector. XP comes with a partitioning tool, called Disk Management. It even has Wizards for partitoning. This should be a cinch.
Ive tested this with a SATA disk as follows. Power off the computer and connect the disk. Power up again - check the Bios finds it. If you have a IDE or SATA disk, make sure you power off before connecting, USB and Firewire ones can be connected with the power on.
Theres a guide on Disk Management here You need to find the disk with unallocated space. Right click on it and select "New Partition" and follow these steps, clicking "Next" to get move on at each stage.
1.Partition Wizard starts, just click next to move on
2.Select Primary Partition.
3.Enter the maximum size for the Partition Size
4.Choose assign a drive letter. I used F:
5.Select "Do not Format this partition"
6.There will be a dialog box, summarising all the previous stuff. Click Finish
Now you have a drive letter, this is what we will pass to the formatter<<less

FAT32 for Windows NT 4.0 1.06
Dual booting with Windows 95OSR2 and Windows98 just got more efficient! more>>
FAT32 is a FAT32 file system driver for Windows NT 4.0. Once FAT32 is installed, any FAT32 drives present on your system will be fully accessible as native Windows NT volumes.
Recommended FAT32 Configuration
Do not convert your first partition, or your NT boot partition (the one with winnt on it), to FAT32 as there is no support in Windows NT 4.0 for reading FAT32 drives during the boot sequence.
For maximum compatibility in dual boot systems, the recommended partition configuration is to maintain a FAT partition as the first partition on the primary drive. This partition should contain Windows 95/98 as well as Windows NT and should not be used to store applications or data files. The rest of the primary disk and any other disks should be formatted with FAT32.
Setting up Your Partitions
FAT32 for Windows NT does not make it possible to format new FAT32 drives on your Windows NT system, just view existing FAT32 drives. If you wish to benifit from the space efficiency advantages FAT32 has over FAT16 drives and are setting up a new computer, follow these steps.
When you partition the drive create at least two partitions: one for system files and one for data files. You may also choose to create two partitions for system files: one for Windows 9x and one for Windows NT. Of course, you may wish to create multiple data file partitions.
Install Windows 9x first, placing its system files (the WINDOWS directory) on the first partition (the C: drive), which must be formatted as FAT16. Then format all the data drives as FAT32 drives. Finally, install Windows NT on either the C: drive, or the second system drive you created. The second system drive can be formatted as NTFS or FAT16. After installing FAT32 for Windows NT the data drives will be accessible from Windows NT.

Defraggler is a free file defragmentation tool from Piriform, the company that brought you CCleaner and Recuva. It differs from other defrag tools on the market, by enabling you to quickly and simply defrag the files you want to, without having to process the whole drive. Simply run it, select the file and defragment in seconds. No more struggling with the Windows defragmentation tool!
Major Features:
- Defrag Individual Files: Defraggler allowes you to select individual files and folders to defrag instead of defragging the whole drive as other defragmentation tools. So you can get the job done in seconds, rather than waiting for the whole drive to complete. You also can defrag the whole drive if you want.
- Compact and Portable: Defraggler was written in the same compact architecture as other Piriform products (CCleaner and Recuva). This results in a compact single EXE application, which can be copied to a thumbdrive and then used whenever you need it, without a complex installation process. The EXE itself is less than 1MB!
- Vista Support: Defraggler supports all OSs released since Windows 2000, this includes Windows 2000, 2003, XP and Vista. Although 64-bit support is not included in this version, we are working on compatibility, so it will be available soon! Additionally Defraggler supports both NTFS and FAT32 file systems.

Bootpart 2.50
The windows boot tools. more>> BootPart is an easy tool for adding one partition in the Windows NT multi boot menu (by samples, OS/2 boot manager or Linux partition). Bootpart 2.50 is compatible with Windows NT, Windows 2000 and Windows XP. BOOTPART lets you add partitions in the Windows NT/2K/XP Multiboot menu. Usually, you only have an MSDOS or Windows 95 entry and one (or several) entries on the Windows NT multiboot. With BOOTPART, you can add any partition on the menu. You can add OS/2 Multiboot, or Linux Partition (with Lilo) in the menu. You can also restore the Dos, Windows 95/98/Me or NT Bootloader boot sector on Fat partition. BOOTPART creates a 512 bytes file which contains an image of a boot sector that loads the boot sector of the partition. After, this file is declared in C:\BOOT.INI (a text file used by Windows NT boot menu). The boot sector comes from FDFormat and WinImage. The version 2.50 has now very cool feature : repair Windows NT loader boot sector on Fat partition (but Bootpartcannot the repair under Windows NT/2K/XP), easily add both MS-Dos 6.22 and Windows 95 in boot menu, support FAT32 and disk over 4 GB, and LBA addressing... .<<less
