NetPopUp 1.1

NetPopUp 1.1

This was in response to unscrupulous advertisers using the service to pop up ads more>> As of SP2 in Windows XP, Microsoft has desabled the service that allows you to send popups to other PCs. This was in response to unscrupulous advertisers using the service to pop up ads. This tool will still work if you specifically enable the service, but in my experience the only PCs that still allow this are old Win98 and Win2000 machines.
NetPopUp is a replacement for the Command Prompt tool NET SEND. This program allows you to send pop-up messages to other computers on your local network, or any PC that you have the TCP/IP address for. NetPopUp offers a few amusing benefits over NET SEND, however:
You can specify what you want to appear in the FROM line!
NET SEND always identifies your computer name when you send someone a pop-up. NetPopUp can make it appear those popups come from someone else! (For real amusement, try sending a message from "FCC" saying "You are playing an illegally copied MP3, a warrant has already been issued against you, and your equipment will be confiscated within 24 hours. Click OK to admit guilt.")
NET SEND cannot tell you which computer on your network are suitable to receive popups (OK, we wont call them victims, well call them recipients of inter-office-humor!). NetPopUp can! It has a network scanning tool that scans each computer on your network and reports all WindowsNT, 2000, and XP based machines that can receive popups.
NetPopUp is a nice simple Windows program. No command prompt needed!

DigiPan 2.0

DigiPan 2.0

DigiPan - bring the ease and simplicity of PANORAMIC reception and transmission to PSK31 and PSK63 operation more>>
DigiPan - bring the ease and simplicity of PANORAMIC reception and transmission to PSK31 and PSK63 operation DigiPan stands for "Digital Panoramic Tuning" and was designed to bring the ease and simplicity of PANORAMIC reception and transmission to PSK31and PSK63 operation. DigiPan provides a panoramic display of the frequency spectrum in the form of an active dial scale extending the full width of the computer screen. Depending upon the transceiver IF bandwidth, it is possible to "see" as many as 40 to 50 PSK31 stations at one time.
Low-cost transceiver kits for 10 meters, 20 meters, 30 meters, 40 meters, and 80 meters, the PSK-10, PSK-20, PSK-30, PSK-40, and Warbler (PSK-80), are available from Small WonderLabs that make full use of DigiPans panoramic capabilities through the use of a 3000 Hz wideband IF
In addition to using DigiPans PACTOR RX to identify a PACTOR mailbox signal, which only consistently transmits identification if it is successful in connecting with a fixed PACTOR station, mobile PACTOR mailbox stations are also supposed to transmit their callsign in either PACTOR or CW if they fail to connect with a fixed automatic PACTOR station.
This identification has always been required by FCC regulations, and was supposed to have been phased in over the summer of 2003, but it is almost never done. Listen for CW ID at the end of the PACTOR transmission if it does not trigger a transmission from the other PACTOR station, or quickly switch DigiPan to PACTOR RX and look for the callsign of the calling station.
For example, when you see , W1AW is the callsign of the fixed PACTOR mailbox station being called, not the callsign of the calling station. If sent by PACTOR, the callsign of the calling station will be shown in addition to the called stations callsign, or by CW at the end of the PACTOR transmission.
