File::Backup is a Perl module for easy file backup & rotation automation.

This legacy module implements archival and compression (A.K.A "backup") and file rotation and is an implementation of tar and gzip calls.

File Backup description
This program is intended to be used to back up a certain set of files from within a given folder File Backup is a simple, small and easy-to-use program intended to be used to back up a certain set of files from within a given folder, moving them to a backup folder and renaming with a date stamp.

It can also set ReadOnly and Archive attributes of the files.

Supply all details in the text boxes. You need to give the path to the folder that your files are in, the path to the directory where you want your files saved.

Supply a date format (see below), or leave blank for no date stamp.
Click the button to beging the backup. Youll see the status panel telling you what it is doing. If you have ticked the Exit box, the program will end when it has finished.

If you want to backup to a network share, you should first map the drive.

Modified File Backup description
