FlashGot is a free Mozilla/Firefox/Thunderbird extension (compatible with Netscape too), meant to handle single and massive ("all" and "selection") downloads with several external Download Managers.

FlashGots main commands are:
-FlashGot Link (contextual menu or Ctrl-F1 or Alt+Click on a link) - downloads through the default download manager the link under the mouse pointer.
-FlashGot Selection (menu or Ctrl-F2 or Alt+Click with an active selection) - catches links in hilighted text/images, attempting also pure text to anchors conversion. It performs some "smart" replacement too, like turning "hxxp://" into "http://".
-FlashGot All (menu or Ctrl-F3) - grabs all the links found in the current page and dispatches them to the default download manager, which could offer an easy interface* to filter and select the file that will be downloaded in a batch.
* built-in filter dialog is provided by every Windows download manager except GetRight. On Linux, your best option is Downloader 4 X 2.5.4 or above. An emulated FlashGot filter dialog will be included in 0.6 release, being needed for GetRight, Linux and Mac OS X users.

-FlashGot Tabs (menu or Ctrl-F6) - performs a "FlashGot All" on every tab open in the current window. Notice that this command is hidden by default from the context menu: you can show it using the Menu options.

A Tcl/Tk site grabber and download manager

Given a URL, Getleft will try to download all links. As it goes, it modifies the original HTML pages so that the absolute links get changed to relative links, and links to active pages get changed to the resulting pages. Getleft project supports thirteen different languages.

Getleft can be used to download complete websites You give it an URL, and down it goes on, happily downloading every linked URL in that site

Bug fix: If you were hand editing either the url or the directory of a download in the main window, and then you tried to finished the edit clicking in the window, it wouldnt work.
Bug fix: While you where downloading an Url, you should not be able to edit the Url or Directory in the main window, unfortunately it didnt quite work like that.
Bug fix: If you double-clicked in the main window and no sites where in the queue you would get an error.
Bug fix: The dialog to choose the file extension of the

Bug fix: If you deselect a link in the Choose Links
dialog, the web page should change that link to a complete one, for example, if the link is index.html,

Bug fix: Sometimes Getleft would miss links that were close to the end of the page.
Bug fix: If you use the options dialog in the Choose
links dialog to change some options, the dialog would be refresh several times, now it will only be done once.
Enhancement: I have made some slight changes to the way I create the Getleft Windows executable, so that now it will show the blue earth icon and if you right-click on it to see the properties, you will see something about Getleft.

Enhancement: When opening the file log, it will show the last download by default which, I hope, is usually what we want to see.
Whatever: With the latest alpha of Tcl/Tk a bug was fixed in how widgets are located within a labelframe, so I have stopped compensating for it. That means that if you are still running Tcl/Tk 8.5a5, dialogs will look drunk.

Retriever 1.6 is designed for users with more conveniences in terms of its excellent features. Those features can allows you easily download large files easier and with more control than from your web browser.

Even with it you can resume interrupted downloads at any time that's convenient or even schedule downloads to occur when you're away from your computer. Even if one server is too busy to accommodate you Retriever will automatically switch to another to continue your download.

You can temporarily pause your download and resume it instantly a few minutes later. No matter how many times your download is interrupted or stopped Retriever gives you a successful download.

Retriever can capture downloads directly from Internet Explorer or Opera. See the IECapture and OperaCapture pages for more info.

Downloads can be input manually into the program or captured from the clipboard. You can also drag and drop links onto the download list to capture them. If a selection of text is dropped, it will be parsed for links, you can use this behavior to add multiple files at once.

If you wish to capture downloads from Mozilla or Firefox you can use the excellent utility FlashGot. Beginning with version 0.6.9 FlashGot provides integrated support for Retriever on Windows, on other platforms you will have to set up a custom download manager definition.

Instructions:

1. Install FlashGot.
2. After restarting Mozilla or Firefox go to "Tools-FlashGot-More Options" in the menu.
3. In the "General" tab click the "Add" button and enter "RetrieverDM".
4. In the "Locate executable file" dialog browse for the location of "java".
5. Now you need to enter the command arguments, enter the following exactly as it appears minus the quotes "-jar pathtoretriever [URL] [Referer:REFERER] [Cookie:COOKIE] [post:POST]", where pathtoretriever is the location of Retriever.jar. You are now ready to use FlashGot.
