Many useful features are available, which are missing in Windows. Instead of renaming several folders laboriously by hand, you complete this task in the future with a few mouse clicks! WinFR Folders provides you with a wide variety of renaming options.

Here are some key features of "WinFR Folders":

· Numbering
The numbering function is particularly helpful with the comfortable administration of picture or music collections. As user of WinFR Folders you have many options to number folders. It is possible to place the numbering before and after the folder names.

· Renumbering
This function allows the changing of an existing numbering. You can insert new folders into numbering, remove folders from numbering, or change the parameters of the numbering

· Date/Time
With this option date and time of creation or last modification can be added to the folder names. Therefore different date/time formats are available or can be defined by your own.

· Folder extension
Like file names, also folder names can have an extension. To change this for many folders at once, this functionality is available. You can simply replace the existing folder extension, or keep it as part of the folder name and add a new one.

· Capitalization
Four functions of capitalization are available, which should cover the most usual requirements. There is the option to apply this function to folder names only, to folder extensions only, or to both.

· Prefix/Suffix
With this option the folder names are extended by a prefix and/or suffix, without changing the actual core of the folder name.

· Replace/Remove
With the help of this option single characters or character strings of a folder name can be removed or replaced by new characters or character string (e.g. replacing of underlines by blanks).

· Insert
· This menu option allows to insert charakter strings on free choosable places of the folder name. There is the possibility to select if the counting starts at the beginning or at the end of the file name.

· Move
Herewith you can freely move parts of folder names to new positions.

· Name structure
A name structure provides the functionality to assemble folder names by a specific schema. Beside normal text (which will be taken over one-to-one into the file name) also so called elements (tags) are supported.

· Get new names from file
By means of this option new folder names can be determined by a list. For this WinFR Folders uses CSV files which among others can be created with customary spreadsheet programs.

· Changing folder attributes - set or delete attributes like "Hidden", "Archive" etc., or change date/time of folders

M Hide Folders description
A small but helpful utility that hides files and folders M Hide Folders can hide the files and folders that you dont want other people to see.

M Hide Folders allows you to hide and show folders under the protection of a password that you are requested to enter when the program runs for the first time. You may change the password whenever you want.

If you want a folder that has been hidden to be shown afterwards, you must type the folders path and simply press the Show button.

ABF Favorite Folders is an extremely useful compliment to the Windows Explorer shell. It allows you to easily store, manage and access a list of frequently used folders. These Favorite Folders are available in the Start Menu, Favorites, "Send To" menu (optional), and on the Desktop (optional). You can designate keyboard shortcuts and icons for any item in the Favorite Folders. The user friendly interface makes this product a must have item for your PC/Server. ABF Favorite Folders extends a context menu of folders with 2 new items. Using "Add to Favorite Folders" menu item you can add selected folders directly to a favorite list right from the context menu. You can use Start Menu, Favorites or associated keyboard shortcuts to access any of Favorite Folders. You can quickly copy any file, folder or shortcut into any of Favorite Folders using "Send To" shell menu.

Color icons for color labels. Hey Folders! adds colored folder icons to Apples Finder. Instead of a generic icon, labeled folders show up in the appropriate color.

Installation
Please follow these steps in order to install Hey Folders! properly:

Drag Hey Folders! from the disk image to your Applications or Utilities folder
Since Hey Folders! is a background application, Utilities is probably a better choice.
Launch Hey Folders! from your hard drive
This will start the plug-in for the current session. Do not launch Hey Folders! from the disk image.
Restart Finder
Choose Force Quit... from the System menu. Select Finder from the application list and press the Relaunch button. This causes Finder to re-render its icons.
Labeled folders now should appear in the labels color. If you like what you see you can make it permanent and:
Add Hey Folders! to your Startup Items
Start System Preferences and open Accounts preferences. Select the Startup Items tab and add Hey Folders! as the very first item of the list. From now on, Hey Folders! is automatically started each time you log in.

If you would like to disable Hey Folders! remove its entry from the Startup Items. The next time you log in Hey Folders! will not be started.
