Icons-Land Vista Style GIS/GPS/MAP Icon Set 1.0 is really an effective utility when it comes to better orienting oneself on various mapping applications. It contains 310 images which can be used in mapping applications of any kind. Each object of GIS/GPS/Map Icons Set is hand-crafted pixel by pixel, what allows to use it when preparing for presentations, in diagrams and splash screens.
GIS/GPS/Map Icons are meant to help users to orient oneself when using maps, to facilitate their search of definite objects and make maps more interesting in use.
Major Features:
- All icons are divided into 6 groups:
- Pinpoints - set of various universal objects used for marking certain places on the map (this group contains objects of various sizes and colors, such as bulbs, flags, needles);
- Places - various Points of Interest used for marking different places on the maps, such as Hotel, Bank, Hospital, Airport, Gas station (these icons quite precisely depict real objects);
- Containers - various containers which can be used in GPS tracking applications for cargo and assets tracking;
- GIS - diverse icons which can be used in GIS applications while working with maps, for example region selection, various coordinate systems and layers;
- Devices - device icons used for maps examining, for example Portable Computer, Mobile Phone, PDA;
- Misc - rest of icons, such as satellite, aerial, road signs, traffic light.
- Icons-Land GIS/GPS/Map Icon Set contains images in 7 sizes: 16x16, 24x24, 32x32, 48x48, 64x64, 128x128, 256x256. All of them are crafted in .PNG. The 256x256 size icons are large enough, they depict objects quite precise what allows using them when preparing for presentations, in diagrams and splash screens. The smallest 16x16 size icons are problematic, but are still accurately depicted. Totally there are 310 icons, and each of them is made in Vista style.

User selectable NMEA sentences are saved in time-stamped packets allowing later analysis, interpretation, interpolation, geographic positional plots, or GPS-track re-creation. Different text file formats are menu-selectable.
Additional features include easy-to-read UTC and local time display and PC-clock to GPS synchronization.
Please read the "readme.txt" bundled in the GPS Logger download for the latest update information.
GPS Logger Features (v3.x)
Multiple serial-port capability (COM1-COM8)
Logging via a primary, filterable port and monitoring/logging of an auxiliary second port.
User-defined filters: Have a special sounder sentence you want to grab? Add it to your own database with v3.x
Independent clocks: One clock refers to UTC time delivered by the GPS, the other refers to either the local time derived by GPS time or local system time.
Many start-up automation options
Creates a Maptech .trk Track file log while logging data (optional)
Creates a UTM-coordinate log file, deriving UTM Coordinates from NMEA lat/lon coordinates on-the-fly (optional)
Basic Log filename can be specified via a command-line argument
Starting with v3.02.9 GPSLogger supports up to com port 50
...and many more features
It supports various NMEA sentences, so it can be used with any GPS mapping software. You can use it using a null-modem cable connected to two physical serial ports or you can use one of the virtual serial port software from the market.

receivers,the most affordable and convenient way to use location services.
It is a JME (Java Micro Edition ) application for JSR82-compliant devices.
Virtual GPS is a GPS simulator software Virtual GPS is a GPS simulator application. You can use it to simulate a GPS receiver unit connected to your system. Its ideal when you need GPS input, but you have no signal or for development purposes.
Virtual GPS supports various NMEA sentences, so it can be used with any GPS mapping software. You can use it using a null-modem cable connected to two physical serial ports or you can use one of the virtual serial port software from the market.
The GPS data is transmitted periodically to a serial port (UDP ports are also supported). To get the output of the simulator, you can use a null-modem cable which interconnects two physical serial ports or you can use one of the virtual serial port software from the market, which simulate two interconnected serial ports like: Virtual Null Modem, Virtual Serial Port Driver, Virtual Serial Port Kit, Advanced Virtual Com Port and others.
Another possible application of the software is to broadcast the output of the simulator through bluetooth.
Limitations:

NavTools GPS is able to share files and data with an existing NavTools Route installation and can read and write data and voyage files created via NavTools Route. This will allow you to plan and create a voyage in NavTools Route, and execute this voyage on NavTools GPS.
Furthermore, position reports (AMVER, SISTRAM, AUSREP, etc) and noon reports can be easily and fully automatically created from NavTools GPS, saving the onboard navigator considerable time and effort. Similar to NavTools Route, this new application includes a lot of useful tools for day to day navigation.
However, if you do not have NavTools Route, you are still able to create and use voyage data files via NavTools GPS (use a right mouse click on the Schedule list to add, edit, or delete waypoints).
Limitations:
30 days trial
GPS Express provides a feature rich interface to serial NMEA-0183 protocol data and works with most NMEA-0183 devices, including GPS Receivers. GPS Express is available in three versions (Standard, Professional, Graphical). STANDARD displays the title, value, and units for each parameter. Manual,Scan operation. Navigation buttons. Manual,automatic sentence triggering. Comport indicators. Accepts third-party multi-level sentences. System date,time. Date,time stamp. Elapsed time. Parity information. Web links to applicable third parties. Color-coded information. Free third-party sentence submission. PROFESSIONAL has all the features of the Standard version with the addition of logging functions, parity calculator, statistical information, and HTML reports. GRAPHICAL has all the features of Standard and Professional versions with the addition of graphical information and esMapMaster(tm) online mapping technology. GPS Express greatly enhances the transmitting and receiving of NMEA-0183 data over basic terminal programs. GPS Express is targeted towards all NMEA-0183 data, while most comparable applications are targeted towards GPS only NMEA-0183 data. Steelwater Solutions Corporation is a member of NMEA. Using Stealth GPS on your Pocket PC you can save as much data as you wish by controlling the frequency with which records are stored. The data can later be extracted and used for whatever purposes you require, for instance, how many times you have been within a certain pre-defined area zone or passed through a toll point. We have written a program that will convert the raw GPS data to either decimal Latitudes & Longitudes for universal plotting to mapping packages such as MS Map and AutoRoute 2002, it will also convert to the UK OS co-ordinate system for those that require it
GPS Tools provides easy access to GPS position, speed and satellite information without any knowledge of low level GPS protocols. Geographic coordinates can be converted between most coordinate systems including UTM, WGS84, NAD27 and NAD83. Raster maps can be defined and used to draw objects on such as icons, lines, rectangles and text. The maps can also be connected to the GPS. You can draw on multiple layers, the map can be zoomed and rotated, and more...
To get started, a rich set of samples are included in Visual Basic, C#, C++ and java script. GPS Tools is available for Windows and Pocket PC, as ActiveX and .NET components.
