CamSketchpad is a modern recreation of Ivan Sutherlands seminal sketchpad program. Its a 2D drawing and CAD program with support for geometrical constraints and the inclusion of instances referencing other drawings. It includes a very flexible geometric constraint satisfaction system based on error minimization and basic support for algebraic constraint satisfaction.
It was written as a group project for the Cambridge University computer science undergraduate course by a team of seven people: Tom Botterill, Matthew Brown, Tom Craig, Easlyn Kirupairajah, Amit Sarna, Andrew Smee and David Stark.
CamSketchpad is far from being as complete and efficient as the original Sketchpad, but it does have all the necessary components in a rudimentary form, and is finished enough to be usable. So weve decided to release it as open source under the BSD licence, so we or others are free to tinker with it and improve its algorithms and user interface.
Here are the basic sketchpad features:
- Add any number of the following objects to a drawing: Attacking Players, Defending Players, Neutral Players with any color jersey, Soccer balls, Cones, Flags, Text labels of any size, font, font color, Straight arrow, Curved arrow, Dotted arrow, Wide arrow, Rectangle, Oval
Additional functions with objects: - Rectangles and ovals have transparency and can be rotated
- Group objects
- Click and drag objects or groups of objects
- Align objects: left, top, right, bottom, vertical center, horizontal center, distribute vertically, distribute horizontally
- Lock objects so they dont move
- Move objects through layers: back, backward, forward, front
- Color objects using any color and save your 10 favorite colors
- Text label attributes: color, size, font, bold, italic, underline
- Create lists of text values to drop on to the drawing including team rosters (samples are provided)
- Field Position palette allows you to see exactly where you are placing an object
- Markers Palette allows you to create any number of marker sets by color and show a sequence of events using numbered markers Roster palette allows you to have any number of rosters designed from which you can drag player names on to the drawing.
Additional Object functions from the menus: - Select all attackers
- Select all defenders
- Insert formation (4-4-2,4-4-3,4-3-4,3-5-2,4-5-1)
Drawing Backgrounds: - Blank
- Full field
- Half Field
- Penalty area
- Penalty area large
- Quad - Upper left
- Quad - Upper right
- Quad - Lower left
- Quad - Lower right
File Options: - Save a drawing as a template
- Organize drawings and templates for easy access
The Widget can be minimised using the button in the top corner. It also has customisable line width.
Choose to listen to the sequences as 4-note DNA bases, or as 20-note protein amino acids, or both at once. You can select specific data sections to be translated, called exons and introns, and mark areas of interest to be played in a different instrument.
In order to provide a fast, easy sketchpad for converting and listening to the sequences Bio2MIDI translations are kept simple, giving only direct pitch translation of the DNA and protein sequences
The sketchpad application was designed to be a simple drawing editor that allows you to create elementary geometric shapes like lines and circles, and model them as entities using either the Entity Framework or LINQ to SQL.
Think of it as a Notepad for Shapes--you can create, read, and delete shapes, and use the built-in spatial index to search for entities by attribute value. A command-line argument allows you to switch between the Entity Framework and LINQ to SQL runtime for the model.
Requirements:
·
Bio2Midi converts the text of a DNA or protein sequence to a MIDI file, which you may immediately audition, or import into any MIDI sequencer for further compositional
processing.

Features:
Paint User Interface
The Sketchbook Pro user interface is designed around the flow and typical interactions of artists. UI elements include marking menus with one-flick access to major tools like colors, brushes, zoom, and pan; an interactive pan/zoom tool; and a floating tool that allows you to change the size of your brush as you work without opening the brush editor.
Quality Brushes and Tools
Create nontraditional brushes to add texture to an image to extend the creative process beyond what is possible with traditional methods. Create and save your own brushes, erasers, airbrushes, or smear brushes. Vary the size, transparency, roundness, slant, and stamp spacing of your brushes. You can also specify your own image as the brush stamp to create custom texture brushes.
Annotation
Take snapshots of your current application and load and view images or digital photographs. Use SketchBook Pros brushes to mark up and add comments.
Email Integration
Integrated email lets you communicate more effectively by instantly emailing sketches and annotations to colleagues and clients. New email messages are created automatically in your default email program with the current image attached.
Interoperability with Adobe Photoshop
In addition to opening and saving common file formats such as TIF, BMP, JPG, and PNG, Sketchbook Pro supports the PSD format so you can interchange layered files with Adobe Photoshop.
