A granular resynthesis effect audio plugin GGrain plugin was designed to be a granular resynthesis effect. It randomly takes short snippets (or "grains") from the incoming audio, modifies them, and then reassembles them.
Despite the random element of the process, the resulting sound retains much of the character of the original material.
GGrain is one of the more experimental GVST effects. It can require high levels of CPU power and is usually best used off-line. You can create especially interesting vocal effects using GGrain. There are a couple of useful presets to get you started.

Below the knob, a numerical readout reflects the user adjustments or allows the user to manually specify values. One additional mini-window at the bottom of the GUI shows the peak level of the outgoing signal, in decibels.

A resonant band-pass filter audio plugin GBand plugin was designed to be a resonant band-pass filter.
A typical band-pass filter is configured by selecting a central frequency "node" and adjusting the Q (width) of the band surrounding the node. GBand operates in a much more intuitive way. It is actually composed of a low-cut and a high-cut filter operating in series.
In GVST terms, this plug-in is identical to having a GLow and GHi running one after the other.

An auto-tune effect audio plugin. GSnap was designed to be an auto-tune effect audio plugin. It can be used subtly to correct the pitch of a vocal, or, with more extreme settings, to create a robot-voice effect. It requires a monophonic input signal to operate.
Try GSnap with non-vocal material for interesting effects. GSnaps effect is more useful with simple material. Complex material with rapid note changes may require several hours of dedicated MIDI programming to deal with, and may still end up sounding less than realistic. Use the automatic correction with Forced Key to help approximate that famous vocal effect.
Automate switching between Fixed and MIDI mode for ultimate control: allow GSnap to do its thing automatically for much of the material, and then "take over" for passages or notes that need specific work.
