HDDScan is a freeware application for low-level HDD diagnostics.

HDDScan supports IDE/SATA/SCSI hard disk drives, RAID arrays, external USB/Firewire hard disks, flash cards.

The program can scan the surface, view SMART attributes, adjust AAM, APM (Power Management), etc.

Salvation Scan and Restoration Program is developed by Salvation HDD Research Center, the world-famous HDD repair and data recovery research institute which developed numerous professional HDD repair and data recovery software.

This program is the only one known professional program which can scan HDD over 136 G directly that need not the support of computer mainboard with high speed. It can utmost afford 2000 G HDD in theory, supports IDE interface only, no SATA or SCSI ones at the present;

A breakthrough of this program is that, without depending on BIOS, it can control read and write to the HDD directly, with high-speed, veracity, friendly interface and simple management; there will be an intuitionistic and intact report for the physical defective sectors created after the scanning.

The continual defective sectors can be easily skipped; therefore the defective HDD will not get stuck.

There is a Restorer in this program which can restore the usual physical defective sectors.

Smart Content Aggregation and Navigation is a personal Information Retrieval framework. SCAN (Smart Content Aggregation and Navigation) is a personal Information Retrieval framework.

SCAN intends to find a solution for major problems regarding findability in information overload age and content organization.

SCAN aggregates content from different sources into a single documents collection. This repository may keep records on thousands of documents independently of their original locations and formats. Every document record contains a number of metadata properties (such as title, description, author, creation date, etc) which can be either set automatically or edited manually.

A FAST network scanner for scanning entire class B or class C IP networks for open ports. You can specify any amount of networks to scan, and any amount of ports on those networks to scan. You can also set the timeout speed to as small as 1 millisecond!

ike scan description
ike-scan - IPsec VPN scanning, fingerprinting and testing tool ike-scan is a command-line tool that uses the IKE protocol to fingerprint, discover, and test IPsec VPN servers.

ike-scan will allow you to easily inpout the outgoing IKE packet and will automatically decode the response packets.

ike-scan also supports the pre-shared key cracking for IKE aggressive mode using the pre-shared key authentication.

mdns-scan is a tool for scanning for mDNS/DNS-SD published services on the local network. mdns-scan issues a mDNS PTR query to the special RR _services._dns-sd._udp.local for retrieving a list of all currently registered services on the local link.

mdns-scan is not a good mDNS citizen since it queries continuously for services and doesnt implement features like Duplicate Suppression. It is intended for usage as a debugging tool only.

mdns-scan is incomplete since it doesnt resolve mDNS services for you - it just dumps their PTR RRs. To understand these records you need minimal knowledge of DNS-SD and how it works.

mdns-scan does not terminate on its own behalf. It scans for services continuously until the user kills it by pressing C-c.

mdns-scan does not rely on a local mDNS responder daemon. It has no dependencies besides the GNU libc. It has been tested on Linux only.

mdns-scan does NOT scan for local mDNS enabled hosts or A/AAAA RRs, it scans for DNS-SD registered services, nothing else.

This description is VERY incomplete.

This module uses Data::Flow interface, thus one uses it in the following fashion:

Attributes are depending on some other attributes. The only required attribute, i.e., the attribute which should be set, is filename, which denotes which file to parse.

All other attributes are either optional, or would be calculated basing on values of required and optional attributes.
