Creates HTML index of Microsoft Office files more>> HtmlIndex regularly monitors specified directories creating an index of common Microsoft Office files in HTML format. The index is built using properties embedded in each of these documents to extract for example:
- Document name
- Document number
- Edition
- Release date
- Author
You can configure HtmlIndex to either generate a separate index for each monitored directory or to generate a single index comprising all monitored directories.
You have the flexibility to associate any document property to an index column. HTML templates allow you to embed the index into your own web pages. (Not available in lite version).
HtmlIndex runs unobtrusively in the system tray. Right click the icon to access the quick menu or to launch the control window.

HHK2HTML is an easy-to-use and simple tool to extract index links from a Windows-compiled help index file to a standard HTML file.
The file extension of the compiled index file will be .hhk.
This file contains an XML-like structure that can be read using a standard text editor.
HHK2HTML scans these files and creates an HTML index based on the entries it finds. HHK2HTML is also created for Mac users who cannot access .chm compiled help files.
To use this utility, locate the .hhk file, specify an output filename and location, enter a title for your HTML document, then click the Extract HTML button.
You can manually modify any HTML entries you see. Once complete, click the Save HTML to File button, and your new index file will be created.
