IfoAR2WS is a simple tool to modify the aspect ratio to 16:9 in DVD IFO files.
IfoAR2WS sets the aspect ratio to 16:9 in the video attributes of the *.IFO files of a DVD.
In the screenshot above there are 2 Video TitleSets (VTSs) in the VIDEO_TS folder. The Video TitleSet IFO files (VTS_01_0.IFO and VTS_02_0.IFO) have their aspect ratio patched from 4:3 to 16:9.
The Video Manager IFO file (VIDEO_TS.IFO) contains information about both VTSs and it too is patched from 4:3 to 16:9. The BUP (backup) files are also patched as the IFO files.

A DVD IFO editor designed to allow the modification of the navigation commands and parameters PgcEdit is a DVD IFO editor designed to allow the modification of the navigation commands and parameters of an already authored DVD structure.
It is designed to supplement IfoEdit.
Any person eager to understand or modify the operation of a DVD knows IfoEdit (http://www.ifoedit.com). IfoEdit is an excellent freeware program which makes it possible to examine and modify (almost) all the information contained in the IFO files of DVDs. IfoEdit was written by Derrow.
Among ather things, IfoEdit allows you to modify the commands associated with PGCs (Program Chains). On this precise point however, it suffers from many limitations: it knows only some of the 41 existing commands, manages only some of the parameters of these commands, does not allow to create structured programs with conditions, branches etc... Moreover, it is very difficult to have an overall vision of all the commands of the DVD, because those are disseminated at various places in the DVD, among large amounts of other data.
I wrote PgcEdit to supplement IfoEdit. PgcEdit only enables editing the commands and modifying certain parameters of PGCs (Program Chains). On the other hand, it does not have the same limitations as IfoEdit: it allows one to edit all the commands with all their parameters, without other limitations than those imposed by the standard, and the philosophy of PgcEdit offers a better overall picture of the programming of the DVD. I have also added some functions as a bonus.
Furthermore, PgcEdit has a Trace mode allowing to follow the flow of the commands as they are played by a real player, watching the GPRMs, SPRMs and PUOs changes.
With this simulation, PgcEdit may be used as a powerful debugging tool.
PgcEdit is written in Tcl/Tk. Tcl/Tk is an interpreted scripting language. I
chose Tcl/Tk for its power in building interactive interfaces (GUI), and this is
a big deal: one needs a different dialogue box for each command! On the other hand, this choice has disadvantages: being an interpreted language, Tcl/Tk is slow. But that has only little incidence on PgcEdit. Another great advantage of Tcl/Tk is that an application can run indifferently on any platform which has a Tcl/Tk interpreter (Linux, Windows, MacOSX).

FixVTS is a small application which was developed for adjusting your DVD files into better DVD compliance, so they can be opened in DVDShrink or vobblanker.
FixVTS does a similar job as whats called an "IFOEdit Mock Strip", but only adjust as little information as possible in the VOB and IFO files to allow opening in other apps while keeping the DVD as similar as the original as possible
You would use FixVTS if you messed up your DVD, for example by applying the wrong tool, or aborting in the middle of some processing, and the result can no longer be used.
Another good use is for DVDs that have been authored with errors in the IFO or VOB files, such that they still play on your player, but wont open in DVD editing tools such as DVDShrink, vobblanker and others
Main features:
- FixVTS opens a full Video Title Set (i.e. a menu vob, or a series of title vobs) and updates a number of important pointers in the vob file. Specifically, the forward pointers (enabling to quickly go from navpack to navpack) and the two this->LBA pointers that indicate the sector of the current navpack.
- In addition, FixVTS keeps track of all the navpacks, and of all the cells in the vob file, and adjusts the IFO file for the titleset so that they match whats in the vob files.
- FixVTS can also remove unreferenced cells (i.e. cells that are in the vob files, but never played back, according to the IFO file).
- FixVTS also fixes blank packs that are sometimes introduces by DVD rippers when they encounter unreadable sectors. These blank packs can either be removed, or replaced by compliant "stuffing packs".
- FixVTS can be compared to an IFOEdit "Mock Strip" in the sense that it performs some of the modifications that IFOEdit does. However, FixVTS does not update all the pointers IFOEdit does, and does not mess up the PGC cell flags or the cell commands. It does reorder the VCIDs, which is something that a mock strip does not do. In addition, it is significantly faster (in-place mode) and can process an entire DVD with 1 click.
- FixVTS tries hard to process as fast as possible by re-writing only whats necessary. When processing from backup, everything must be re-written, so thats the slowest option. renaming your files like this avi2dvd will join these avis automatically and wil produce an unique film . This is valid also for ogm/mkv.
