Modern computer system has so much performance that even a three year old system would satisfy most peoples daily needs, including browsing internet, email, office work, and even photo management. You wont type faster by getting a faster system. Thus, the regular benchmarks which measures general system performance dont matter anymore. Certainly, there are exceptions, including gaming, anti-virus scan, and video-related work.
