The directory structure is not changed and so is reflected unchanged on the backup medium. The name, size, date and backup medium numbers of all backed up files are stored in a separate database (backup_yymmddhhmm.mdb) for redundancy reasons. Finally the 2 databases are copied to the backup medium.
