Quickly hide all open windows on the desktop more>> PanicStation is a program which resides in the system tray. Its purpose is to hide all open windows on the desktop by pressing Ctrl+F12 or with one click of the mouse (left button) on the PanicStation icon which resides in the system tray (usually the bottom right of the screen, next to the system clock). Programs are not shut down or closed, merely hidden until you restore them. When you exit the program, any hidden windows are restored.
Also you can specify a program to run when you press Ctrl+F12 or when the system tray icon is left clicked to hide all windows (i.e. the panic button!). For example, you could specify a word processor or spreadsheet application to run as soon as you hit the panic button.<<less
