The jRes application was designed to be is a tiny tool that runs in the system tray of your Windows. By clicking on its little JR icon, users can easily switch screen resolution and color depth, or open the Display Proprties box.
The functionality is very similar to the MS product QuickRes, but jRes is a full 32-bit app, so it runs under Windows NT. jRes also lets you switch to some odd video modes on some video cards (i.e. 320x240, etc).

The executable can be configured to search for a certain JRE version or use a bundled one, and its possible to set runtime options, like the initial/max heap size.
