Chances are very good that Junk-Out doesnt work like any junk mail filtering program youve ever used before. The program uses a special technology for filtering junk mail based upon the e-mails content. Junk-Out 2007 checks each individual e-mail message as it arrives in your Inbox and does a statistical check against lists of known "good" and "bad" words to determine whether or not the message is junk. You train the program in the writing style of yourself and your correspondents, so that it "learns" to distinguish between good and bad words. To allow Junk-Out s Content-Based / Bayesian filter to perform well "out-of-the-box", we have provided a seed list of well over 100,000 bad words, and a mechanism for determining your good words, which can "Fast Track" your filter s learning process and get you well on the way to a very effective junk mail filter. For this reason, we highly recommend that you use the "Fast Track" process in the Getting Started Setup Wizard. It had tremendous success getting rid of junk mail, with very few false positives (that is, very few messages are sent to the Junk Mail folder when they shouldnt).
