Wimpy Podcast Amp 1.0
Podcast Amp is a little quirky, and not all Podcasts listed actually play more>> Podcast Amp was developed basically for me... since I think a lot of the podcast software is kinda cumbersome, and a lot of Podcasts out there suck. I just wanted a way to check out some Podcasts and see whats out there before "subscribing" and downloading to my iPod.
During the process of porting Wimpy over to this Podcast Amp Player thing, i realized there are a zillion podcasts out there.
Granted, Podcast Amp is a little quirky, and not all Podcasts listed actually play... and some Podcasts sound like chipmunks (see Known Issues #1 -- there are a million ways to encode mp3 files, and Macromedia Flash -- doesnt do such a good job with some freakish encodings)... anyway....
I decided to port Wimpy over so that i could check out Podcasts BEFORE i download them to my iPod.
Podcast Amp allows you to listen to Podcasts from your desktop, nothing fancy, but at least you dont have to install an aggregator then download the Podcast and then open the file in another program.
Podcast Amp plays the Podcast immediately so you can check out a Podcast before you decide to subscribe.<<less

FixRes Beta 1
Fixres - Media Boxes running DMI to a TV sometimes have trouble setting the proper resolution after boot up more>>
Media Boxes running DMI to a TV sometimes have trouble setting the proper resolution after boot up.
Fixres will launch after you boot, wait a few seconds then will change the screen resolution, this way solving the problem.
From the producers page
I have two media boxes.
Box #1 runs SnapStream (Beyond TV)
Box #2 runs DVICO Fusion USB (HDTV Tuner)
I have one TV a Vizio 32 inch LCD
Now to get these two machines to display on the same TV one has to use the standard VGA inputs (Box #1, Beyond TV) and the other uses the HDMI inputs (Box #2, DVICO).
Both box #1 and #2 have ATI graphics cards.
Box #1 works flawlessly using the standard VGA inputs.
Box #2 looses its resolution everytime the machine is rebooted thus defaulting to 640x480 (and thats not good).
The way Box #2 is connected to the TV (this is kinda hinky):
DVI out (from the graphics card) -> DVI to HDMI adapter -> HDMI Cable -> TV
So the reason may be, the graphics card gets confused and cant detect the TV properly (or another possibility is ATI has a bug in the driver... shhh).
This program runs after your machine boots and logs in to windows and resets the proper resolution.
To configure just run:
FixRes.exe
To run in the automated mode:
FixRes.exe /res

ScreenGrabber 0.01b
create screenshots from desktop contents more>> ScreenGrabber is a simple program for creating screenshots from the PCs desktop and its content. The whole idea of the program was to make it as simple as possible, yet usefull enough for most people. I have been using lots of different programs to create screenshots with, Ive even used the PrintScreen button and then pasted the image into Paint or other graphics programs to then save it. But I thought that was kinda tedious. So I came up with the GeoTrail ScreenGrabber. The program isnt 100% finished as of yet so major changes will probably be done to the coding and layout before its final release some time soon. A few extra features will also be added, amongst those planned are audio when a file is captured and saved. Ability to save captured image with different user specified filenames, including different file formats.<<less

ZipTorrent 1.3.7.3
ZipTorrent is the quickest and most efficient BitTorrent client around more>>
ZipTorrent is the quickest and most efficient BitTorrent client around. Installs in less than a minute (on broadband) and includes handy features such as an easy to use interface, a search facility, multiple Torrent Details tabs, and more!
ZipTorrent is a small and optimized BitTorrent client with big plans and a huge potential, developed using pure C++ by volunteers from around the planet.
We want to make it simple for the average joe to join the growing world of file sharing, without relying on a central resource (Decentralized architecture).
ZipTorrent has two things some of the clients here do not here:
1. An excellent (and very fast!) search facility, which allows you to also filter by seeders/leechers, torrent size, and so on. 2. A very nice multi-server IRC implementation that allows you to receive torrents automatically from bots or from other users.
Besides that, many people who are considered very active within the BitTorrent community have reported that with ZipTorrent they get the fastest download speeds than with any other client, and I think that pretty much is what matters most!
The rest is kinda moot since it pretty much does what all the other clients do, looks great, takes very little memory, and so on.ZipTorrent uses the opensource libtorrent, created by Arvid Norberg

This pack is made from recollected scrap and trials icons, revised and with some details that made a pack good for submission.

The LoseThos Operating System 4.09
Use a 64-bit operating system created from a clean slate more>> LoseThos is for programming as entertainment. You like to write programs for fun?
LoseThos is intended as a secondary operating system for screwing-around. Nothings
off-limits -- you have full access. Its not for 3rd party programs. Its simpler than other
environments, so you can write video games yourself, though humble ones.
I know whats fun about programming and LoseThos provides it. MultiCore is fun, for
example, when its completely under your control! Bureaucracy in programming sucks.
LoseThos has no protections and was designed with simple code as a main goal. It is only
100,000 lines including a 64-bit compiler, kernel, browser/editor/word processor thing, tools,
and demos. "Open Source" is a false promise to many programmers who think it means
they can understand it, tinker with it, and improve it. There are monstrosities designed for
lots of architectures full of endless #ifdefs, etc and even intentional obfuscation. Layering
creates head-aches as you trace through code. LoseThos intends to shed light in a dark
age with minimal abstraction.
People get carried away with language features. Like Elias in the movie Platoon, LoseThos
has shit-canned a bunch of standard issue crap, not appropriate for home computers hobby
projects. A home system is not a multiuser 1970s mainframe. If you are arrogant, enjoy hell.
Is your home computer a toy?
I have fond memories using direct disk block editors when I had a Commodore 64 to recover
stuff. LoseThos aims to remove abstraction, bringing your closer to the hardware like a
motorcyclist without a helmet on the open road.
This is kinda gay, but LoseThos is like a tree-house -- a secondary play environment without
plumbing (networking) that you can modify without building codes.
LoseThos is not for wussies. Its like the wild west, but thats the way its meant to be. Heres
a classic you can type at the command line:<<less

Quote Stripper 1.3
It removes the quoted text markers from the whole message. more>> Do you often receive e-mails from friends or colleagues with funny stories, jokes, etc. in the body, yet you cant make them out because theyve been forwarded 10,000 times, and end up looking like this:
- A young man is wandering, lost, in a
- forest when he comes upon a small house.
- Knocking on the door, he is greeted by an
- ancient Chinese man with a long grey beard
I know I do and I find it really difficult to read the joke in this form. Kinda takes the fun out of it, I think youll agree!
Thats why I created Quote Stripper; it does exactly what the name implies - it removes the quoted text markers from the whole message.
Your friends will appreciate it too, when you forward a message without all those annoying angle brackets preceding every line.
Features
Removes quotes from e-mail messages
Checks clipboard contents automatically
Friendly, modern Microsoft Windows GUI
Can set up a new e-mail containing the stripped text using your default e-mail client

Blow-A-Bear Workshop 1.00
Not quite a game really, but its our first creation as an independent company. Surprising, this was quite a popular game despite the horrible video game value. more>>
Ah, the good ol classics. Ill be honest with you. Its not that great of a game. In fact, few would even refer to it as a game. But something about it just calls to you. It tells you: Its worth the download. I dont know what it is, but I still play this little game.
It started out being a stress reducer that Dylan and I designed when we had absolutely nothing better to do. We just went with it, and before we knew it, we were trying to turn it into a game. We ran out of time, and this is what we got out of it. Its not much, but it does pass the time, and thats all that matters. Besides, its kinda funny to hear how high Dylans voice was back then.

Lara Croft: Tomb Raider 3D Screensaver 1.0
Lara Croft: Tomb Raider 3D Screensaver - watch Lara Croft walks around a random maze of rooms more>>
Install Lara Croft: Tomb Raider 3D Screensaver and watch as Lara Croft walks around a random maze of rooms looking at pictures from the upcoming movie Lara Croft: Tomb Raider - The Cradle of Life, all in amazing 3D!!
Years ago I used to buy computer magazines and play all the demos on the cover disks as a form of cheap entertainment. One day there was a demo of a game called Tomb Raider. Id never heard of it, and back then I used to try them all out since it was a lot cheaper than going and buying a game and discovering it sucked. Anyway, I played that demo over, and over, and over. Id never played such a fun game, and back then it had nothing to do with the main character cos the graphics werent as good as they are today, but the game play was outstanding. Ive been a fan of the series ever since.
What always annoys me is that Tomb Raider was one of the most original, and now most copied, 3D games out there, but ofcourse, the screen saver on the official site is just another boring slideshow. YAWN.
So since the new movie sequel Lara Croft: Tomb Raider - The Cradle of Life is about to be released I decided to do a screen saver, and I think its come out pretty well. I made the model of Lara myself, but I have to give credit to the people who wrote some modeling tutorials which I cant find again. They helped me out. I also have to give credit to Nehe (nehe.gamedev.net) who has the best OpenGL tutorials on the planet on his website. I used the rope physics tutorial to work out how to made her ponytail move properly.
So she walks around a maze, which is random generated which I think is kinda cool, looking at pictures on the walls that are from the movie. You kind of have to see it to appreciate it, like most of the others. Ive never seen anything like it. I had heaps more ideas for this, but didnt really have time to do them all. I wanted to release it before the movie came out. If I get a good response I might come back and add to it later.

Show Me The Colors! is an appliation that was developed to help you test your monitor settings Show Me The Colors! is an appliation that was developed to help you test your monitor settings.
A while ago, I was adjusting my monitors settings, and in my stupidity, I made a real mess of the settings... I needed to fix everything, but couldnt do it easily.
I decided that some kind of screen test pattern was needed so I could re-align everything and correct the colors. Several days later, Show Me The Colors! was born. The idea itself really isnt that original - people have been using test patterns for ages.
I just applied it to a computer screen. As well as creating my basic test patterns, I decided along the way to incorporate some tests for spotting dead/stuck pixels on LCDs.
There are also some patterns for assisting with positioning projectors as well. Overall, its kinda handy.
